A Very Merry Christmas to CC, DJ and Yvette. Hope you have a lovely day.

Cuilidh, your DH put in a lot of effort and thought for you for Christmas, that's worth more than any present.

Morning all,     CC and DJ ,  enjoy your Xmas lunch.  Yvette ,  not too cold.  Saw some film of Xmas in Europe on TV,  looks lovely.  Marina,  poor DH,  when he made such an effort.
Hope all Aussies are relaxing today,

Morning all. I'm a bit tired from yesterday still. I think all the eating and sitting around knocks me about more than if I was flat out all day doing something. :)

Yes, I'm glad it's Christmas Day only once a year!  :D

Almost didn't go for my walk this morning, would have been too easy to just turn over and go back to sleep, but I got up at 5.15 and went for my usual walk down the beach and I'm so glad I did.  Was so cool with a nice breeze, certainly blew the cobwebs away!  ;D

You did better than me JulieO - I turned over and went back to sleep at 5am  :-))

But then DH and I were woken up by the sound of the rubbish collection truck flying down our street at 5:50am (our usual bin day was yesterday) and our bins were full to the brim.  So we both flew out of bed and tried to get the bins down our drive before the truck came back the other way.  But too late ………. so we loaded the bins into the back of our car (4WD) and drove them down to the next street on the "bin run" and waited until the truck came past again - success!  Both bins emptied, and we were back home having coffee just after 6am  :P

Thanks for the good wishes. We all had a lovely day.
Best bit was nephew 7 yrs absolutely splitting his sides watching home alone 2 and playing with his remote control car from DD and DS.

Here is the Christmas table.... Not bad considering our proper dining room furniture is still in store. We managed with no veg dishes, and no turkey plate... The food and company was good.  ;D

I got a great dan lepard book from DH and really love it. It's called short and sweet and has a lot of the chemistry about baking, and some great recipes. Chookie you would love it.

Hope everyone else had a good day or good night recovering.

And a good time was had by all DJ  ;D  You've done well to get this far and be able to have visitors on Christmas Day - it all looks good to me.

Good morning everyone.  We were planning on having a bit of a sleep in but that b@#$**y smoke alarm went off again at some awful hour even tho we replaced the battery last time.  Oh well up and did some tidying up.

Lovely table DJ. Very Christmassy. DJ that book is really good. You will enjoy it.

Karen our bin today was yesterday too had a laugh at your problem. Ours didn't come until about 8.30 am. Very considerate.

Mab19 I can guess how annoying that is. They can be a necessary evil sometimes.

Too funny KarenH. All in your PJs?
Lovely Christmas table DJ.
Smiled at your story mab19. Disabling an active alarm always seems to be a difficult task, but doing it in the middle of the night is especially challenging.
