Good afternoon everyone.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Uni did you have some rotten eggs?
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Morning all, evening all.
Another wild day here but not so wet at the moment. Thank goodness.
Am still in bed  ;D
I think it will be turkey pie later  ;D
Am having another quiet day today then back to painting etc tomorrow.
DH gone to get blocks to block up the bedroom chimney where the living room stove flue pipe now runs up the bedroom chimney. Plan is to finish that room over next few days, then paint it, put the carpet back and we move out bed in so then we can paint and carpet our room.
I also have 4 bathrooms to paint. 2 ceilings only and two ceilings and part walls. They are mostly boarded with 'wet walls' for ease of cleaning. No grouted tiles.
DH connected the tv in our room last night and that is first time since we moved that we have two Tvs working, and that gives a bit more flexibility to the family... Phew.

Evening all.  Just trying to catch up on all the posts.  DJ ,  I have that book by Dan,  love it.  Also loved your setting for Xmas.  We had a quickly made Xmas lunch and setting.  No Xmas tree so I set up a large silver Candelabra on a red table cloth.  Looked festive.  have been watching the floods but think you and CC are away from these.
Uni ,  you sound like you are having a rough time.  Don't eat any eggs unless they are well cooked.

Have missed the forum and no doubt so much to catch up on. Hope everyone had a good time over the festive season x

Good Morning Forum  ;D

MF, sorry to hear you and DH have been unwell. That gastro bug that's going around really seems to knock you off your feet.

Morning all.
MF ,  that is certainly a nasty bug, probably similar to the one my GD had.  Hope you are both feeling better.
Going to be very hot here today,  so will put the case of documents on the car and start to pack the 'valuables'  for the Summer fire season.

Hello all.
Thanks Chookie for asking.
We won't ever be flooded being on a hill, however the road along to the west of us was impassable 24 to 26 December.
It looks like the tide has been in, with lines of leaves and litter along the side of the road.

The storms today have been quite something. We've never had such continual storms before at this time of the year. It seems to have been months of wild and very wet weather.

We must long for spring....

Prague sounds lovely Yvette it's on my list of places to go.
Hope you are feeling better today MF, it's in our house now, DD and I have been sick since yesterday, I'm in bed on my iPad. Have the worst headache to go with it.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
