Very beautiful Denise. Thanks for taking the photos.

Thank goodness for the kneading powers of the thermomix Chookie. Take care over the weekend.

Morning all.
Feel much better. Was able to just manage 12 hours without pain killers. Making bread sure helps.
Has anyone looked at the Louise Parker food plan. ?
Lovely and cool here today.

I have looked at the Louise Parker food plan. I prefer Susie Burrell and her Shapeme program as she is Australian but all  dietitions say similar things and I think if you are going to pay for an online programs it is cheaper and better to go along in person and have an eating program designed specifically for you and be supported. You can also claim the visits on health insurance if you have it.

Beautiful pictures Denise.  It sounds as if you are doing pretty well Chookie, improving a little more each day.  I've never even heard of Louise Parker, sorry Louise!

Me either. I will check Professor Google.

Having Type 2 it was suggested I visit a dietician. I was charged $60, and got back $17 from my medical fund. She didn't really have much to say that I didn't already know. I'm finding that the diabetes associations off better advice for free.

Hi friends.
Great news that you are feeling better Chookie.

Chance and I had a good walk but boy it was cold and the ground was frozen solid.Very hard on my feet :P
I'm siting here watching the snow falling. :-)) So I made myself some Creamy Hot Chcolate recipe from Quirky Cooking.I found it a bit sweet but very enjoyable this cold day. ;)

Morning all.
Boo, thanks for your comments. I was drawn to the recipes not the program. The recipes are low GI and low fat which is what I liked.
It is lovely and cool here at Invermay today, but will be a stinker, 35 + on Tuesday.
Back slowly improving.
Cookie, the Diabeties Association is very well organised. Anita my ex TMX consultant is a Diabetic nurse and works at a clinic one day a week. Although I don't have Diabetes she has told me a lot about it. TMX head office considered doing a book for Diabetics. Anita was approached and she asked me to help with the recipes. They never went through with the project.
Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, and CC you be very careful out walking.

Good morning everyone, enjoying a couple of lower temperature days here before the heat returns.
The hot chocolate sounds a nice reward after a hard walk Denise.

A diabetic cookbook would be well received I would have thought Chookie, what a pity HO didn't go on with it. Did you get to the stage where you had the recipes ready to go?

It is a pity that HO office didn't go ahead with the diabetic cookbook. I love how you can use My Fitness Pal to work out the nutrient value for recipes. In fact the entire app has been a godsend to me. Thanks for telling me about it long ago Chookie.

Hi friends.
Rain here today :P Very squishy underfoot walking Chance. We both came back covered in mud :-)) At least I don't have to be hosed down with cold water LOL.

I agree it was very short sighted of your HO not to go ahead with the Diabetic Cookbook seeing that Diabetes is a growing concern worldwide.
