Good morning everyone.  A lovely cool 15 deg here, much better than yesterdays 42deg.

Chookie, you and Ral have every reason to be proud of your GD. She sounds like a wonderful person and I love hearing about her.

A little warmer here today but not too bad. I have just been reading about the fires, they are so dreadful.

Same to you Cuilidh  ;D  Happy New Year to everyone from me too!

Had a pretty early night and up at 5 this morning for my walk.  Only saw one other regular today.  Lovely and cool and I needed my hoodie.  Looks like a lovely day is happening.  Enjoy everyone.  ;D

Best wishes.for the New Year to everyone. 2019 was a pretty tough one for us and  many friends so we are really looking forward to this one.
Thinking of the people affected by those terrifying fires.  Must do more about global warming.  Why did they wait so long to bring in the Army resources.

Ditto to all my forum friends from us here in the west.

I totally agree about the waiting so long to bring in the Army Chookie.

Our latest news is that DD has bought herself a lovely birthday gift. A 1966 Mustang. She looked at it yesterday with DH, paid the deposit today and hopefully (for her) pick it up in the next week. It won't be her everyday drive, just a club car. She has a fairly new 4 X 4 for that. It is a V8, automatic and she has never driven an automatic before she test drove it yesterday.

Sincere apologies to anyone I offend here.

Very nice, Cookies DD.  I had to double de clutch  on my first car.  She will be fine.  It becomes second nature.
Nice mild day today.

With all the unfortunate events that happen here in Australia in winter and summer I am counting my blessings and sending my best wishes to you all for a bright, happy, prosperous New Year.

Cookie, that is a beautiful Mustang DD has bought herself.  They always turn heads.

Looks like a special car Cookie.  Excuse my ignorance, but will she drive it in the same road trips that you guys do or is it in a different category?  I bet she's so excited.  ;D

She is going to have it on concessional license JulieO. She can drive it to any car club outings and as she is a member of the same car club we are she can drive it on the same outings.
She will probably join the Mustang group of the Vintage car club too.

Clean out pantry today.  Trying to have a week with no shopping.

Thanks for explaining Cookie.  Will be wonderful for her to be a part of the same outings as you both.  :D

Beautiful car, Cookie.  We had an accountant once with a weak spot for (specifically red) mustangs.  I don't know if he ever got one, though.
