I didn't get a chance to check the forum yesterday and missed all the lovely comments re. DH's bread - he loves making it and the loaf that we left with Chookie and Ral was exceptionally nice. I will show him all your comments.  I am now spoiled for bread as he makes 1 or 2 loaves every week and they are all successful, but the one for C & R was my favourite mix!

Happy New Year Forum Friends.

DD phoned today she is having the Pfizer vaccine on Saturday as she is back on duty in the ICU from Wednesday joining the Proning Team again. Our death rate is horrendous from the Covid virus.

That’s good news for DD Denise, it’s never going to end without a successful vaccination,
Happy New Year to all forum members, we can only hope it will be a better year than last year.

CC, that is certainly good news about the vaccine for your DD.  We are constantly reminded of how tenacious it is in the UK.  Unfortunately it looks like it might be developing again here. Hope they can manage it better this time.
Roll on the new year.

Good news for your DD Denise.  I often think of her working in the ICU over there.

We are still having temperatures of 35+. I think I am really over summer already.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

We got the tail end of those storms K Atie - just the rain, though, none of the other stuff.

We have had very strong easterly winds the last couple of days. We don’t usually have them continue over several days and as a result there are some fires to the east and north of Perth. A couple of highways have been closed so people coming home today will have to ‘go bush.’

Slightly cooler today, only about 33 or so.

Hope those fires are well away from you, Cookie - fires combined with hot, dry winds are so scary.

I agree Marina. It is unusual conditions for here. The closest fire is several kilometres away. We live in the middle of suburbia. It's time like these that I say thank goodness.

Weather is truly weird KAtie. We have most days 33 to about 36. Definitely air con weather.
