Cookie, I was sorry to hear of the passing of your MIL.  My condolences to you all.

Chookie, So sorry to hear that Ral has been back in hospital, I hope they have been able to find what the problem is.  Hugs to you both.

Thanks Mab. We had a call from the funeral director late this afternoon. The doctor still hadn’t done the death certificate (he is supposed to do it in 48 hours) and funeral may have to be delayed. As you can imagine we are all rather cross.
Not happy Jan.

That is really not good enough, Cookie.  Not wanting to sound terse, but surely there is no reason to delay under the circumstances as it was a natural passing.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Ral. Still not sure what the bug is in his bowel.
Cookie, that is awful for you all. Also can’t understand why that would be the case.
DD was given 2 large boxes of Kiwi fruit.  Amazing. Nothing like the ones you buy in the Supermarket. These are sweet and juicy. I have made my Apple Cake recipe into cupcakes. Might try the Kiwi fruit.

A very poor effort from the doctor cookie, hopefully it comes through in time to not hold up the funeral.

You must have fruit coming out of your ears Chookie, there’s nothing like good quality fruit and unfortunately we don’t seem to get much of it these days.  I’m over buying hard fruit and hoping it ripens OK, mostly it ends up in the bin here. Bananas are the only fruit I can rely on.

D love to try growing kiwis fruit.

We got MIL death certificate this morning. As DD works in health she has suggested we report it. I don’t like doing things like that but I am very angry. I think I may.

Very humid here today. We were supposed to get rain from ex cyclone Charlotte but have had very little.

We have been having beautiful Autumn weather. Neighbours have been visiting to cheer Ral up. He can’t do much at the moment and is frustrated. The highlight of his day is the 1 TimTam he is allowed.

Poor Ral, he must be really fed up.  Introduce him to the web game Wordle, I think that should keep him occupied for a while. I have never seen it but my cousins are avid "wordlers".

Thanks, Marina.  I think he would like that. He does a crossword each day.
Cooling down. 16 max today.
Big day of Dr appointments.
We had our Rocket Coffee machine serviced. They put in a wrong replacement washer.  We went back to the shop and they gave us another washer. Still didn’t work.  Manager offered to come to home as it was too heavy for us to lift. However DD came and put it in car for us.
We are using a small Sunbeam cheap coffee machine that makes an excellent cup of coffee.

Busy as ever I see, Chookie!  How frustrating with your coffee machine, hope it resolves soon as I am sure Ral is missing it .... assuming they allow him to drink coffee that is.

Lucky you have an extra coffee machine to use whilst yours is away Chookie and hope the other one isn’t away too long.

I do Wordle each day. Sometimes it’s very frustrating and others it’s not too bad.
