Chookie, thanks for all the updates on the girls.  A wonderful adventure for them.

We had some heavy rain here overnight.  The gardener was going to come this morning to trim some camellias but the rain has kept him away.

Nearly finished covering front flower bed with sugar cane mulch.
Relieved DD has reached Tassie.  Battled strong currents and low visibility.
Rained most of yesterday. Still warm. Love Autumn.

Spending a lot of time sitting outside Pathology centers, waiting for Ral. Do my reading.
Seedlings growing well.
Builder replacing boards on decking.
Coffee machine and lawn mower both in for servicing.
Hair cut today. Hairdresser has had covid so had to postpone for a couple of weeks.
Mild weather but not much rain.
Still in semi isolation.

Our covid numbers are increasing but we knew they would. DD has been doing a lot of work associated with Covid at work, and working late. She will be very glad when it all settles down. She mentioned that a visitor had brought it into the oncology ward. Very, very sad.

That is sad cookie. We all knew what would happen when our borders opened, it was inevitable. Your DD will be expected to put in as many hours as are needed but hopefully she will have a break to recharge her batteries every so often.

It looks like DD will be getting a break-one she didn't want want. DH received a call this morning to say that his Mum had died in her sleep. We are so glad she didn't suffer. He visited her yesterday and noticed that her hands were shaking badly. Very sad all round. Much like your Mum Judy. She would have been 94 this year. DH insisted that DD remain at work as she is helping people-she and Grandma were very close.

Sorry to hear that sad news cookie and so glad DH saw her just  yesterday, it’s been a very long nursing home stay - one tough lady you had there.  Condolences to all 3 of you xx

We went down to MIL nursing home this morning to get all her stuff. She was their longest client. 12 years. The carers that knew her well were giving DH big hugs as they had got to know him as well. Quite lovely.

They are so supportive when we lose someone cookie, it is their loss too.

Yes Judy, I'm sure they have their favourites. MIL was lovely to those she liked but not very nice to the others. One carer said she had popped into her room to say goodbye, and she looked very peaceful.

Cookie, sorry to hear the passing of your MIL. That is a fine old age.
Rals tests resulted in him being back in hospital. They are not really sure what is wrong with his bowel. Some more tests today. Tomorrow, home, regardless of results. He has been on a clear liquid diet. Three times a day he has jelly, apple juice and warm broth. I’ve spoken to the dietitian and she will let me know what I can give him. I bought some marrow bones and gravy beef which I am cooking in the SC. No onion. The butcher cut the bones into 1 inch sections so I can extract all the goodness.
We have been able to visit. One person for up to 2 hours a day.

It’s a problem when they can’t give you answers Chookie, fingers crossed today’s test will give some answers.  Big hug for you both. Xx
