Morning lovelies - bit shocked when your green light was off  Uni, but after browsing the thread realised you had already chatted to half the world today!  Kim I hope that smooth sailing is soon a part of your family life - I can only imagine your levels of stress given the hurdles of this year! xx

No injuries, nothing stollen. Just damage to the side roller door which has been pushed right in by a 4WD, The alarm went off which scared them away apparently.
The owners of the shop have only been here a year. :(

Good morning everyone :D

No Judy, its not me who has diabetes, thank goodness! I have an extreme phobia of needles so I don't know how I would manage injecting myself 4-5 times a day! :-[
Its my old step-father who has it. He has had for about 40 years now. I'm not good at maths but I'd hate to think how many injections he has had over his life. His stomach is very scarred from them all :-X
I cook porridge for breakfast every morning, I always make something for lunches because you can't trust cafes to provide a balanced meal with enough or not too much carbohydrate, and I cook dinner every night. Since my mum has been unwell too, I have taken a much greater interest in making sure all our meals are as nutritious, low-fat and balanced as possible ;)

Do you all live in the same house Amy or are you delivering meals?

Yes I know all about needles and scarring.  I gave DH them for 14 years for his MS but it became so hard to find a spot to put the next injection, we spoke to his specialist and after an MRI, he said it was OK to stop them as there were no active lesions in his brain. Enough was enough, he was sick of receiving them and we took the risk that he wouldn't go downhill too quickly by not having them.  After having MS for 25 years and being told he would be a cot case after 20 years, we were happy to get this far and at the moment he is stable.

I still live with them Judy :-[
We thought that since I am working and studying down here, I may as well stay living at home and save myself the costs of running my own home. This way I can save more for when I do move out ;) And I don't have a partner or many bad habits, so I don't think they mind that I'm still hanging around :-))

Amy thats sweet, same as me, I cook for my parents alot, and deliver too.

Last night they decided to come and have dinner with us, instead of speedy delivery....

Thanks Robyn, its nice cooking for the people you love isn't it? :) And it must be nice to have them come over too. My grandparents don't often come around to our house and its disappointing because I would love to cook a nice meal for them :(

Amy you would be a breath of fresh air to have around and the fact that you seem to do all the cooking - who wouldn't make room for you in their home  :-*

You have a very good taste in names Robyn ;) Give my love to your daughter too. She must be lovely if she has Amy in her name. And even lovelier with you as a mum! :D
