Morning everyone.  Hope all is going well for you all.  Long'ish day for me today - I've got "trigger finger" on three fingers so off to get a wee operation in a nhour or so to rectify it on two fingers - unfortuantely on my right hand and I am right handed, so I'll be out of commission for a couple of days until everything gets back to normal again.  Big hassle, however, I have paid all my bills, done my BAS and typed up all my typing, so I can, hopefully, relax and ignore my desk / computer for a week or so.  I might even have some spare time to pop on here more often and catch up on what everyone is up to!

My understanding is that the tendon of your finger (in the palm side of your hand) becomes too large for the sheath it goes through so that when you release a clenched fist your finger doesn't open smoothly - it 'jrerks' open - like a tirgger.  It's a horrible, horrible feeling.  Michele (and our other nursing friends) don't laugh too hard at my description, medical terminology has never been my strong point!

Thanks for your good wishes - I'm not looking forward to this next week as I have been warned that it will be sore and I absolutely hate taking pain killers, but maybe I will give in and take one or two.

Off for my last (pain free) shower for a while and heading to the hospital in 1/2 an hour.
