Morning/evening all.
A hard frost today and I've had 12 hours in bed. Slept for ten. Very unusual but have been exhausted. Last weekend was spent rushing to visit a gravely ill relative in hospital in London, and who is doing much better now. It meant long journeys by several trains both ways as the normal line was flooded.

Must get up now. Just been catching up on here and researching marmalade recipes. I need to make loads and stock up for the B and B. Will try to borrow a preserving pan as mine is in still store! Have bought 10 kgs sugar. Might get oranges later as we are going to lunch out as it is just we two and I will be cooking lots for a friend who is helping this week from Tuesday. He likes bacon and eggs for breakfast, soup and bread every day for lunch as well as a big dinner with pudding. He is such a help that I try hard to make the food good. I even bought a new frying pan in the sale for fried eggs and will test it out. This is all good practice for when we open.

More heavy rain expected later today, it has already clouded over, and again for several days from Wednesday. DH is doing the sheep today  ;D

Happy holidays everyone, the thought of summer is just marvellous.

Good Morning and Evening  :D

Nice colour DJ.  :)

Going to be a hot one here today and for the rest of the week. Popped a brolly over the Xanadu as it got badly burnt this time last year on the 40+ days and took forever to recover.

Good morning ladies.  Great idea Michele, plants do suffer during these heatwaves.  I lost the 10 boronia plants I'd just planted a few days earlier on a really hot day a while back so replaced them with impatiens.  So far, so good but this week will be a test for them.
