Good morning everyone and welcome home Chookie - lucky you with the rainfall, we've not had much here.

The kids are just sharing it around Robyn, I hope you are all better soon.

I hope all the colds and sore throats are on the mend.
Chookie that rain would have perked everything up. We had clouds for 3 days but very little rain. It was cool though. I have just heard that Tassy is very hot today, take care Tassy friends. I heard that Adelaide was warm yesterday too. Summer just doesn't want to give up.

DJ it sounds as though things are slowly coming together for you. Well done.

I have to apologise for my recent threads, my ipad keeps dropping letters.  Everyone is probably thinking i have hit the bottle!
My DD is home today with fever and bad throat.  I guess it is doing the rounds. Get well everyone.

DH has been working very hard on our lounge room. So much, that he has lost some weight. He has built a frame for the new gas fireplace, which is going in today 😃

He will install bookshelves, the rest of the wall, tiles and the list goes on after that. I'm so glad I don't have to think of the million details that go into that one room.

The progress so far

The opposite side of the room - he built false walls to hide the sliding doors

Looks great.  It will be so good when you can sit back, relax and think "we did that ... isn't it brilliant!" Well done.

Marina you are so cheeky, are you remembering when I missed my plane and the taxi driver was knocking away at the door and even called me on the phone which was next to the bed? I have nightmares about that happening again, so I've booked a 2pm flight on Friday.   ;)  4 more sleeps to go

BZB your room is looking great, and I think your DH is very clever. Has he ever done hands on renovation work before?
