Emme,  we have all left yeast out at some stage.
Katie, tell your DH that he is putting undue pressure on me.    Don't tell him that I am making a Rye loaf today.  It might end up in the OOPS thread.

The worrying part about leaving out the yeast was that it too me so long to wake up to why nothing was happening. ??? ???

I did the same Marie. I tried all the methods I knew to get the bread to rise, then late in the afternoon I remembered.....no yeast.

Don't worry Marie I think we all do this sort of thing at times :D :D Classic mistake for me: leaving out the eggs in a cake,I ask you how could I have done that :D :D :D :D
Good morning DJ,Trudy and UK friends,
A beautiful sunny start to the day here.I was woken this morning with the sound of hot air balloon going over the house :o The sound of the blast of the gas flame was loud :-X

Morning all.  Just heard the rain on the roof.  Garden drying out as we are having a dry warm spell.
CC,  do you often have Hot Air balloons fly over?

Agree wholeheartedly Djinni, believe in supporting local as much as possible.
Glad you have been and seen Cookie, I mentioned it mainly because you didn't think there was one around you, so when I heard of that wanted to mention.  No point in spending more money unless it is fresh.
Glad you had a great sleep JD.  It's funny how much more we appreciate that simple pleasure as we get older.
Ps Waifs were amazing as usual, if you get an opportunity you must go, Djinni, my DH isn't a big fan like me but he even admits they do a great concert.

It would be a wonderful sight to see hot air balloons over your house.
Glad you and DH enjoyed the concert Bedlam.

These early morning photos were taken a couple of years ago from my hotel balcony when I was working at the Melboure International Flower & Garden Show.  Had my breakfast on the balcony and watched these glide by.

A few years ago when I had to make a rush trip to Geelong I woke up to the same thing in Melbourne. It was amazing.

I agree they would be wonderful to see but there's no way on earth you'd ever get me into one.  I've even told DD2 to never even think of giving me one for a special birthday.
