Morning all.
Frozzie nice to hear from you. Enjoy your holiday.
Cool here,  under cloud most of yesterday. Beautiful. Cookie,  thinking of you in that heat.
Stay safe in SA. More heat on Wednesday.

Our holiday is over.  Shop is not open for another week, but lots to do before DH's family arrive in six weeks time (we just got a phone call that DH's eldest sister has broken her arm badly - right at the top near her shoulder - so we are all hoping like mad that she will be OK to travel).

I am trying to catch up on the past week or son on the forum but am sure I will miss out on lots of news.  It is a big relief to hear that everyone is safe.  The weather is certainly cantankerous here at the moment.  The cooler weather yesterday was certainly a relief.

Frozzie, good to hear from you.  Hope you enjoy your holiday and that you do not all suffer too much from homesickness!

Good morning everyone.  Hi Kim, it's great to hear from you - enjoy your holiday.  Poor SIL Marina, hopefully she will still be able to come to visit.  Back at work - good that means you can post that photo you've promised  :D

Morning all, enjoy your holiday Frozzie, great to hear from you. It's going to be a hot one in the west today, my cleaver DH fixed the aircon on Friday, the house is lovely and cool.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

You have been foremost in my thoughts Jeninwa as our air con has just died. I won't let DH up on the roof to look at it until it cools down. We have a metal roof so it will be very hot. I just looked and we have reached 42 and I think it may go higher. I am spending my time saturating out two birds with water as it is very warm without the air con. Gosh we depend on these things.
I have made both the birds Coolgardie safes. I used a wet tea towel and the fan blows through it onto them.

Lucky birds.
Maybe don't let DH onto roof at all!
So dangerous.
Get a repair person with the correct equipment and safety gear.
It's not worth the risk.
