Same here cookie, I’ve had a lazy day today sitting on my backside with a blanket over my legs learning all about Diabetes.  I did find a good movie to watch which was a bonus.

We had our delivery from Woolworths today.  The delivery man said that he wouldn’t deliver it as it was too far for him to walk.  I sent Ral out to deal with him.  He used his best school teach voice and told him to pull the van up closer to the house.  He refused to carry the containers up the steps.  No one has objected before. 
All the groceries arrived in good condition.

We both carried the bags up the steps.  I don’t think it is a good idea to have a delivery on Sunday. 
I will continue to get weekly Fruit and Veggies, but once a month from Safeway should be enough.
I was reading some research about the cost of weekly food.  The writer came to the conclusion that $100 per person per week, is about the correct amount.  She also found that she had about $500 worth of food in the freezer.

Ever since Hally did her $100 grocery challenge way back when, we have taken our shopping money out in cash and that is it for the week. It includes everything - glad wrap, washing powder etc. We go over occassionally but that is usually with money left over from previous weeks.

Michele, I agree.  When you make a lot of your own food from basics, it saves a lot. For example, the last lot of bread rolls I made in the AF cost just over 10 cents each.
It has been very wet and windy over night.

Good memory mcmich. I remember that challenge plus some other ones we did. I have certainly been saving money not shopping so often but generally my food money these days are spent on vegetables which are increasingly more expensive. I have found the proteins have come down in price  a bit or marked down with people not having BBQ's and the like. I filled my freezer with some 50% off beef, lamb, pork and chicken from Coles. More people online shopping leave all these goodies for those who can still shop in store! Got some fabulous cheeses for next to nix as well. This is when you love the stupid best before and expire dates. Winner.

Hello Gert.  The fruit and vegie prices have risen a lot, probably due to drought and fireGood on you for getting bargins with close to use by and best before dates.

Michele, look at my last post on my blog. 
Use 1/2 no fuss recipe, double rise and place a piece of baking paper or well oiled piece of paper bag in the base of the tin that you are going to bake the rolls in. This will help you flip the rolls over.  I also use cake release to brush the tin.

Michele, above 20 degrees and cover with a shower hat , or If you can leave it in the TMX bowl with a tea towel on top it should rise in an hour. The second rise is much quicker.
