I don't mind the masks so much - it's the foggy glasses that I hate.

Some  paper masks  have  a metal or plastic strip on one edge. This is to pinch around your nose and under your glasses to prevent fogging. There are used is all hospitals.

After wearing a mask, I have renewed respect for Dr and nurses who wear masks,

Thanks, Gert, the masks that we have have this metal strip - sadly, they still manage to slip around on my face and allow my glasses to get fogged up.  I will continue experimenting, surely there is something available that works - I remember in my young days when I went skin diving we used to spit in our masks to keep them clear (and I think we would also rub raw potato over them too) - but I don't know how socially acceptable these would be for out and about on the street these days.  Come to think of it, perhaps dive shops have something that would work ... must follow that up; the optician doesn't have anything that works.

Most definitely.

I saw a note yesterday by a Dr on Google who recommended putting some light masking  tape along the top  of the mask. Also tried to make some masks from  orphaned socks as demonstrated on Tic Tok.  Haven’t laughed so much in ages.
Fog today.

A cold wet and foggy day here.
Last night I downloaded a couple of patterns for face masks.  I think it is time to get some made.

Mab, you will make wonderful masks,  perhaps you could take a photo to share.
Still cold and gloomy here.
Have been cooking and eating too much carb, loaded food.  Back on diet yesterday.

A beautiful sunny 23 here today. We went on a coffee run to the northern suburbs. We took the EJ Holden.

Lucky you Cookie.
Virus seems to be getting worse in Victoria.  9 active cases in Ballarat.  We are in self imposed isolation again.

We have 3 cases of the virus in our area.  DIL came yesterday and gave us some masks.

The ISO seems harder this time.  But must stick with it. Chemist and fruit and veggie box delivery today.
At 6 am was 0 degrees.
With a bit of luck Solar Panels fitted next week.

Very cold start this morning. Iso does seem harder in a different way this time , maybe it’s because they set 6 week plan ,before we just had to do it all together.

I could easily self isolate at your place Chookie as I do not get out of bed if t is less than 20 degrees. Just leave my food outside the door. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

The rules requiring Victorians to wear face masks seems to have taken quite a few people off the streets here in Melbourne.  I think it has given many people a bit of a shake up and a taste of reality if we lose control of COVID.  I am not a fan of masks, but understand the reasoning behind it, to my consternation, though, we have to wear them all day at work, even when it is just our staff here, that's uncomfortable, but we all know it is necessary to be safe rather than sorry.
