Amazing Mich - love the transformation.

I have just done normal day-to-day stuff and school holiday stuff and gave DH a hair cut ... nothing too different here! :)

I usually go out with a friend on either Friday or Saturday but DH has caught this ghastly bug that is going around and is not very well, so I have been keeping out of every ones way just in case I spread the germs.

I've cleaned and redone the guest room after having the grand children here earlier in the holidays.  Washed the linen and ironed what needed ironing. Cooked some silverside and prepared the vegs for dinner.  Made the tropical fruit cake recipe.  Then sewed some more squares of my quilt.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Since it's the last few days of school hols I thought I should make an effort and take the kids on an outing. They chose Scienceworks (again), unfortunately it's in the middle of a major revamp so not as much to see as usual, but at least that meant we were home by lunchtime! Then got on with the usual washing & cooking, nice day here for a change so we took the dog to the park for a good run.

Paint is a wonderful thing Michele  8)

So glad school goes back tomorrow!
Kids were starting to get physical with other since Friday  :-))
Holidays have been busy with parties, Melbourne show, sport & not much time spent at home! Tomorrow will be spent trying to catch up.
Off to mums for lunch today, and a desperate food shop  :-\ I so hate putting it away & money incentives doesn't work for the kids to do it either .
DS filled in for the D grade seniors on Saturday...he was so proud...the other team was short as well, and they paid him $10 & Gatorade to field for them  :P....clearly, money is accepted for sport & not grocery putting away  :-))
Enjoy your Sunday  :)

Not surprising maddy, being paid for doing something you love is a bonus and helping Mum is not a priority.  No help in the kitchen, no lift to the game perhaps?  He can probably walk there though or I'm sure he would be able to arrange to be picked up so maybe that wouldn't work.  Maybe none of your lovely treats for the team at the end of the season perhaps?

Just picked up 3 smelly kids and one smelly adult down near Jarrahdale off the Bibbulmun Track hike that Miss 12 finished today.
Miss 12's tally:
-30km's done and dusted! (whilst carrying a 10 kilo pack)
-one small blister (which she just realised as she was getting in the shower that she put the bandaid on the wrong toe thismorning!)
-5 ticks removed before shower plus a fair few others she picked off on her travels
-One small pack of nibbles and a tin of chicken leftover, so she didn't pack too much food, but has decided that tinned shredded flavoured chicken is disgusting and when she opened it there was no way she was reading the ingredients list! She reckons it is edible if you are starving, but not packing that again.

I'm happy that she is happy. And in the shower scrubbing  ;D

Nikkit that is quite an achievement for her. Not sure about the tics though.

Yvette - errrr no. No smelly washing.  :o She changed one pair of socks. Came home in the clothes she left home in. (they do smell!)
Apparently carrying clean clothes is a waste of time, space and it's just extra weight!

Very very tired though, she had about and hour and a halves sleep after her shower yesterday and I'm guessing she'll sleep in this morning.

Cookie - yes it was quite an achievement. I am very proud and according to the leaders there was no complaining.  :)
