No I. Don't know the area at all except what I Have read and I do know where it is and would love to see the area some time. I am wanting DH to do a sky safari. Skytrans  fly over a lot of Queensland so want to organise a round trip just so I can see the country. Don't want to drive it like cookie but would love to take a couple of days by air.

You are a very lucky  person and I hame sure the life is hard but rewarding.

Enjoy Arcadia. My mum came from Tambo. I remember going back there to visit, stopping at the pub and dad asking for a light (beer). The guy handed him a lighter and said we're real men out here lol.

Tonight we are planning on having fish burgers for dinner and going in search of Christmas lights.

Gert, we went out to Wink II for dinner on Thursday night and the dinner was fabulous. Mama Coco is lovely also. I hear lots of good things about Ozmosis too.

I'm such a lucky girl. Got 4 jabs instead of 2, as I could still feel the pain during drilling :(

Thank goodness it's now over. Just need to replace the temporary crown in 2 weeks time. Dentist promised no more jabs. Phew!

Hally, I had to google Game Vault. Very cool. Bet cp is having a ball :D

BZB I feel for you. I have several crowns. I think my teeth are worth more than as small car. DD is having one started after work next week. Poor thing.

I feel like I've been away for ages. Spent today letting two sick boys rest and when I think they are well enough and start dinner they both went down hill and didn't eat a thing.

One with a painful tummy big and the other a virus with rash and tonsils. It's turning into a long weekend but lots of cuddles means I have some forum time.

Wow Arcadia. How interesting. Many years ago I spent 6 weeks on a large property. I think it was a long way from Townsville where I had a weekend off once. I had to check water once by horse but mainly I was on domestic duties with small children cleaning, and cooking when he resident cook was away. I lived in a tiny shack and had to light the stove with fallen wood I collected before I could shower. I worked my way south working on different properties for a few weeks at a time, then I went to New Zealand for several months. After that I went to agricultural college.

Yesterday I made my first bread for months and months. I have started to unpack the kitchen with what I have here, some is still in the removal company store. I also made chookies choc delight. Both were for a party. Luckily I had just enough ingredients packed in boxes. I need some fresh supplies now. Time for a big shop pre Christmas. The new ovens worked well. Made the bread and baked all at once. 16 rolls in one oven, 32 in the other. I even found my large thick bake stones and they fitted in the ovens. Problem today is now where to store them! I have never used them before as they fitted a large oven which I sold after the redundancy. It is a joy to find they fit now.

Hope the boys recover quick thermesa, it is hard when young uns are poorly.

It was last night. Very good food. Lovely chicken with sun dried tomatoes and tarragon, or chilli beef with rice and salads, my rolls, then so many puddings to choose from. I had a delicious fruit pavlova roulade.  It was fun. We didn't stay really late as Dd is working today and DH is exhausted.
I am unpacking more kitchen and popping on here in between boxes LOL.
