....it was a very short conversation!
Know I should be grateful that I still have my Mum around, but geeze....she is one of the most frustrating people I know.
We already had the present conversation 3 weeks ago, and she said she will also give me my Birthday present (which was in October), along with the Christmas presents.  Then I said don't buy a present for the kids, just  give them money, as they are both saving up for things....then she said yesterday she bought them iTunes cards  :-X

Go into a room, shut the door and scream yourself silly maddy - it helps.  That's what I did when Geoff had to go to hospital the day before I was flying out for the WA retreat last year.  Got my frustration and disappointment out then got on with it and coped with the situation before me.  Mums can be frustrating and all we can do is to aspire to not  taking after them  ;)

Yes, I have made that promise to my kids  ;)
I don't think I've ever finished a sentence where she hasn't talked over the top of me, and wonders why she doesn't recall what I've said, or says I never told her certain things to begin with :-X
...need a soundproof room I think Judy  ;)

I can't stand it when I know people aren't listening to me. I always listen to people, and so it is frustrating when you know they have their ear tuned elsewhere on another conversation or you can see that this conversation is just going over the top of their head or in one ear out the other. Talking over the top is annoying as well. I think you may have to punch the pillow a few times to get through tomorrow by the sounds of it maddy  :-* :-* :-*

Hugs Maddy. Nothing like family to chuck a spanner in the works.

Especially at Christmas...seems to bring the "best" out in everyone I find! :o

I hear you, Maddy.

My mum stays for 2-3 months each time she visits. And she drives me nuts! Her standard of cleanliness is so much lower than mine. Plus other quirkiness. Love her....but I feel like screaming sometimes...

When we lived out in the country I have been known to go out into the paddocks and scream.  Did me the world of good :D :D

I have been madly cramming all my Christmas preparations into a few days. Started my hampers on Sunday, finished them on Monday. Had so much fun zooming around getting these organised. Did have a bit of a mess to clean up today though  ;D

Was supposed to have the day off today but as per usual there was no one to cover the shift. So went in early this morning to get it over with so I could get back home to prepare food for Christmas lunch tomorrow. :)
Work in the morning for a couple hours then off to my sisters place for lunch. Can't wait :)

Great hampers djinni  :D

I feel for you working on Christmas Day dede - At least you will be home for lunch. Little comfort but you won't be alone. All the firies, police, ambulance, nurses and doctors will be out there with you.

Maddy... Huge hugs and understanding. Have you heard the expression coals of fire - meaning finest generosity..... Give the pressies anyway.

Lovely hampers and cooking everyone.

Think my DH went shopping too when he was stuck with weather issues yesterday. LOL.
