Oh I don't mind working. It's only a couple hours anyway. I will be here when the kids open their presents and we will all be together for lunch. I'm going to take some raspberries in to my client in the morning as we have heaps. :)

Well I've just managed to slice the top of my finger off  :-))  not completely and I've popped it back on and  steri-striped it back together.  :-[  I don't think I need a tetanus injection as the knife was clean.

That's it for me in the kitchen tonight. I'm going to have a drink to dull the throb.

Oh Michele  :o your timing is perfection too  ;) hope the liquor helps the pain! OUCH.

DJ....I like that saying  :). As tempted as I am to re-gift the egg boiler she gave me last year (My Mum is the queen of re-gifting the presents I spend time & thought on)....I just wouldn't do it....I am tempted to see what her expression would be though  :P *evil laugh*

DJinni....lovely hampers  8)

Well the "friend" who broke our baler & cost us a big job, has once again let hubby down and I'm afraid that's the final nail!
He has been asking hubby for work as he needs money, yet the 3 jobs he was assigned to do, have not been done for weeks...he promised faithfully last night they would be done this morning...and guess what, hasn't been done & we spotted him drinking beer over at the neighbours....DH livid, and as he has just headed out to work well into the night, they rang to see if he wanted to come over  & join them for Christmas drinks  :o >:(.....you can imagine what his response was  :P

Oh I shouldn't be whinging Xmas eve, sorry.....happier note....I finally have made that gingerbread house I've promised for years  :P
It's not decorated yet, but I have started it  ;) DD patiently waiting!
.........EAT CAKE!

Michele, are you OK - is Don with you?

Not everything is running smoothly for us is it girls?

Maddy, that's one 'friend' DH doesn't need.

I've patched myself back together. Don wanted to take me to casualty (you can imagine the wait tonight)  :-)) I will wear gloves tomorrow. Had a glass of wine and the pain is much better thankyou  :D

Seems like some of us just can't miss a trick at the moment - my finger is nothing compared to missing out on Christmas with the family. I feel for you all that have loved ones sick and working.  :-*

to add to the woes of Christmas eve someone just drove into the rear of dd's car not too much damage but she can't drive it because the air bags went off, and the poor love has to work tomorrow luckily she can take dh's car. People are so impatient at the moment on the roads let's just slow down and pay attention and keep safe everybody xx

Oh no Suzanne, that's terrible luck for her at this time of year. :)
Yes people really are impatient. Glad when the silly season is over and people slow down a bit

Mich are you sure you don't need to go to ED? I hope your last tetanus was fairly recent!

Maddy how disgusting. Here your DH was trying to help this twerp and he does that to you. Not a nice person. Karma will get him.

Suzanne I am glad your DD is ok. It can shake them up a bit.

Take care everyone and keep safe.
