Lovley pressies mcmich please come and wrap mine..... Not sure when I'll make it happen.

Dining room making progress.... New stove in. Heating working well, it is still Bermuda. We are refining settings now.
Managed to send a few round robin emails with news tonight to friends and family.

Another big day tomorrow on the house.

Made roast beef tonight, and Nutella muffins as well as Uni's quick rolls as a loaf. It was the best loaf ever...
I have asked Gert to post pics as I seem to be able to email but not post on the forum. The net is too slow.. Everyone must be on it and were the last on the line from the rural exchange..

Well that's a job well done Michele and if you have hoards of wrapping paper, yes you must use it up somehow then start again with your themed wrappings further down the track.  It's all clutter to store in between Christmases so best got rid of.

It sounds like you need a few Christmas bags for easy packing of presents DJ - do you use them in the UK?  When there's a lot of other things to do, wrapping presents is a real pain in the backside.  Sleep well tonight, tomorrow is another day to get a few more jobs done before you have a well earned break from house renovating on Christmas Day.  Just cooking on that day will be bliss.

Kimmy - ants are in the same category as head lice...what is their purpose for existing I ask???  And yes, Pyrex does not love tiles...or sudden temperature change, so I've found  :o

DJ - love reading your progress, and finally your cooking adventures  :-*

We had DH family get together yesterday, which we haven't been to for many years (for many reasons)....but it was surprisingly pleasant, and I think that as time goes on, we can let go of certain things  :)

That's great to hear maddy, life is too short to harbour ill feelings but so many families do have issues these days.

Warmth and cooking both great thanks CC and Maddy.
Yes wonder we are getting there, but phase two starts 6 jan and we have to clean up the house and make room to get through these two weeks. Am hoping this will make the next clean up easier.

Am now in bed with clean sheets.... Bliss.
Bags a good idea JD but I already have paper and Sellotape.
And so much to do before the cooking on Wednesday... LOL.
If I get the rooms sorted and clean then we can put tree up. It is outside in a shed and in a bucket of water at present.

Ooh I nearly succumbed in a weak moment to open a pressie.... But didn't...

And I have over bought nuts.... So must make some spiced ones tomorrow and give away....

Ooh H I did have lists but threw them away as nothing went to time... Am now winging it, what we haven't got we can do without..

Spiced nut anyone....

DJ, you are just so busy, you must be exhausted :(

If the list isnt running to schedule, re-do the list. Theres nothing better than a big bold tick by a job completed :)

Take care, smell the roses :)

I'm making a couple of salads and a dessert for a BBQ on Christmas Eve with DD and all her inlaws - we will all be down at DD's holiday home for the day & night and her FIL is dropping me back into town late on Christmas morning so that I can have lunch with Geoff at the home.  It's nice preparing food for 11 people for a change  ;D
