That's a great find Chookie. The few times I have looked in op shops they have really scungy clothes. I'm probably looking in the wrong suburbs.
It looks as though a good time was had by all.

The cars look amazing Cookie and your friends dress gorgeous Chookie. What a bargain!
Filling in passport renewal form online here at the moment then need to get photos before my appointment on Wednesday. I have only one page left but need two facing pages for visa. Annoying as my passport still has 10 months left.
Still cloudy and windy here but no rain. A nice quiet day at home alone  :D

I have just caught up with the past week or so on here and so much has been happening.

Nikkit, everything that has happened sounds terrible, it is such a horrible thing to have to go through.

Mandi, so good to see you here again, especially after the upheaval of the past while.  You sound as if you are happy and your kids are being really supportive and helpful.

Well I've been awake since 12;30am - just so as I didn't miss hearing the alarm go off at 2;30am this morning. I get the feeling it is going to be a looooong day!

I didn't miss the alarm, we were out the door at 3 and at the International Airport by 3;45 so Miss 12 and 11/12ths could get on the plane to KL then on to Sri Lanka with the Scouts.

She has gone for 10 days, first 3 will be at home stay with the Chief Commissioner of Scouts family over there and then 7 days at the Jamboree with a mere 3000 other Scouts from all over the world!

I am so excited for her, worried, happy, and a little teary that my baby has gone today. (But that could just be due to lack of sleep - I'll be fine tomorrow!!) She looked so grown up and confident as she headed to the check in counter.

She is with a group of 17 others from all over Aus that had been chosen after they had put in their applications, so only a very select few have been taken. Only 7 from WA - so just a weeny bit chuffed too that our girl was picked.

Oh ok...hugely proud and boasting - I admit!  ;D ;D

I bet the next 10 days goes quick.

How wonderful Nikkit. Spreading her wings as you  would want. Fantastic opportunity and you know damn well why your girl was chosen.

I am so excited for her. Happy jumpy tappy dance.

Our mob certainly have a bunch of talented clever kids. Just like their mothers and the odd father.

Awwwwww you lot got me all teary again  :-)) :'(

I think I need sleep!   :-))

Thank you for all your lovely words though Denise, Gert, goldfish, BZB and Judy. Means a lot  :D  :-* :-*

By the schedule she has just landed in KL for a couple hours stop over and then onto Colombo. She had a big training session at Muay Thai last night and was a bit sore this morning, so I bet she'll be doing some walking to get the kinks out now after sitting for 5 odd hours.

We really do have such an amazing life where we can teach our babies so many things and then give them so many awesome opportunities. I can't wait til she gets home and tells us all the stories and experiences she had.

I'll make the days go by Judy, plenty to do....like the overdue BAS I am trying to tackle at the moment.

Nikkit that is so wonderful. Congratulations on having such a wonderful daughter. She will have a wonderful time. Naturally you will miss her. Time for you to do the BAS statement.

I didn't get up as early as Nikkit but am in the middle of a full day, though not as exciting. Mammogram at 9, podiatrist at , 11.20. That gave me time to bank some car club money. This afternoon to the Dr for the hip and then to get my stitches out at the specialist.
Then tomorrow off to a Comfort Class at Tenina's. I just enjoy attending them.  ;D
