Lovely pictures Cookie. You really have made the most of your stay in Melbourne.
I fell in love with the Lemurs there also.  The walk thru enclosure really is lovely.

Bedlam how long will you have the baby? None of mine got the night time sleeping memo either
No idea how long this little one is staying but he is welcome to stay as long as he needs us. 16 weeks old tomorrow.

Cookie, you are looking well.  Can't wait to check out Alyce' shop.

Bedlam, your little one is the same age as mine. He did get the 'sleep all night memo' but missed a few others including the 'sleep for more than 30 minute intervals during the day memo' and the 'it's ok for other people to hold you memo'!

Thanks Bedlam.
It was a little damp in Melbourne today so we went out to Chadstone Shopping Centre for the day. We enjoyed ourselves. Mainly walking and looking, but still enjoyable. I did go to Daiso out there and bought a heap of bra bags. They are cheaper than others around. I also bought my mask and boa for Forumfest.

Chadstone Shopping centre is huge isn't it Cookie, easy to get lost if you don't make a note of where you come in and wha t level you are on. Have a safe trip home.

I actually found out his birthdate today ( didn't take long!) 8th May.  Enjoy Jam,  many precious moments.

Bedlam, I just have to say it again, I think you are wonderful. The little people you look after are just so lucky.
I have been playing around with  Kefir.  It is fab healthy stuff.  Like thin yoghurt. Has lots of good bugs and has the advantage of being processed at room temperature.
I bought a Mad Milly kit to start with, last year.
I tried straining 600 mils through a jelly bag and ended up with whey and 2 tablespoons of a soft cheese. The cheese tastes very much like Philly cheese. I added strawberries to the whey and TMXed it to make a refreshing drink.  The soft cheese can also be used as a substitute for sour cream. The whey can be used to replace buttermilk.
I used the first lot of soft cheese on Nachos as I didn't have any sour cream. Was good.
I think you can make coconut Kefir.
Just thought some might be interested.

Would the whey be good for bread Chookie?

Today we plan to go to the DFO and then I'm meeting my cousin for the afternoon.

I thought I would show you the view from our room. DD has given me an awesome treat this holiday and spoiled me. We are on the 30th floor here and the view is spectacular. I'm being really spoiled.

Chookie, The Kefir sounds interesting. My interest in it has been tweaked recently but I haven't done anything about it yet. Is the soft cheese firm enough to roll into balls like Labne? Labne balls are nice rolled in dukkah and put into a salad.

DH and I are off to Margaret a River in WA's south west with a group of friends for a 4 day weekend, so I will be out of Wifi range.  Lots of talk to catch up on. Other 3 ladies are all Thermie users.
