The busy social life is pretty rare as is a free lunch . I went last year and it was a buffet style line up roast and not all bad. A roast dinner is what I do miss as it is hard to make it for one successfully so I am looking forward to it.  I will leave before the sweets as last year they were pretty bad by the look of them even though they were pounced upon.  Pity the mayor does not spring for a glass of bubbles. Thank goodness the speeches are kept short and there was music for dancing last year.

Should be a nice lunch with a table full of Red Hatters. Today would have been Ted and My 50th wedding anniversary. Seems a lifetime ago we were married at the registery office in Sydney. Well I guess it was! Life is full of  changes. Quite a journey.

I did some laundry today while the sun is shining and then had my hair cut.

What a lovely day for Geoff and his friend Judy.

Gert, glad to hear that you are settling in nicely.  Enjoy your lunch.

Happy 50th wedding anniversary Gert. Have a glass of bubbles or three to Ted.

A lady over here was bitten by a snake last weekend and sadly she died. Her husband was saying it would have been their 50th this year. They had a party for their 49th anniversary and called it a just in case party. So beautiful but sad.

What a pity you and Ted didn't make it to your 50th anniversary Gert,  the wonderful milestone that it is.  I hope your Redhatter ladies made sure you enjoyed your day.

DD and I flew to Melbourne today. I plan to ring some of the relations tonight and get the visiting sorted so we know when our free time is.
We had a very "hairy" ride from the airport. I think the taxi driver will need new brakes and new indicators very soon, the number of times he used them.  ;D. Perhaps I am not used to that sort of driving.  ;D ;D

That ride describes a lot of taxi drivers cookie.  Enjoy Melbourne, glad you made it.

Continuing to enjoy Melbourne. Went out to Carlton this morning. Hit a few more books stores with DD for the rest of the day. Also watched my footy team win, which was wonderful.

Enjoy Melbourne Cookie. I was lucky enough to score tickets to that game. A friend with business connections got tickets in the Guy McKenna Club, three course meal, drinks and guest speakers while getting to watch the game from prime seats. The trouble is now I want to watch football likethat all the time.  ;D

Enjoy the rest of your stay in Melbs Cookie. I love poking around book stores, what a great way to spend a day! Go Eagles!
Last time we went to Melbourne we use Uber to get to and from the Airport. It was a great experience.

Grrr trying to defrost my upright freezer!!!! My fault as I have let the ice build up.
Note to myself, I must label better as I have some "guess what it is" in containers ;D
