This is really exciting! Took rubbish to the tip and cleaned out chook shed, yesterday. Would rather be eating Ice cream with Cookie after a long drive.
Today cooking Corned beef in SC so we can work in garden.

I haven't been on the forum for about 6 weeks and have to catch up. Seems like You are moving Chookie. How exciting.

Had big plans in the kitchen today, then power went off at 10.30 and didn't come back on till 2.30. It was so stormy it was too dark to do most things I like. I have managed big batch of Spag Bol for GK's, some Curried Parsnip Soup and s one quick Oat & Tahini Biscuits.

Oh Chookie, what bought this change on? You have such a beautiful home. Are you down sizing, getting closer to town? Sorry for all the questions, I'm a nosey parker.

DH and I were the same before his brush with cancer - now we don't know what to do - we love where we are but the up keep is pretty big and the space of the house and granny flat is beyond our needs. In theory we should sell but I love our surroundings. Time will tell.

You've done all that with the power off - just amazing.

I washed the car today for the first time in goodness knows how long. Luckily the colour of my car doesn't show the dirt. Not a quick 10 minute job like usual, I actually cleaned the rims and used my new vacuum cleaner on the inside too.    Also did a bit more weeding, so many outside jobs to catch up on but I'm getting there.

You all put me to shame. I went and had my eyebrows done and picked up some wheat that we feed the wild birds with. Then goofed off. I did make some biscuits, strawberry jam and pumpkin soup. With the thermomix it didn't take long. Fortunately our power stayed on. I even managed a Nanna nap.

Not doing much today and I won"t be doing much for the next couple of weeks.  Yesterday I had surgery on my right hand to fix my carpal tunnel issues. Basically I have to not use my right hand now for two weeks. It's really hard and awkward being your main hand down.  I'm lucky i have Richard to look after me.

Bad news I'll need to go back later and have my left hand operated on (as it also has carpal tunnel).  Good news is the operation has a high success rate and my hands should be as good as new afterwards.
