Katie I had my first done about 25 years ago and the second about 15 years ago. It is worth every bit of the inconvenience. I didn't really suffer much pain with mine so I hope you are the same.
Enjoy the rest time.

Best of luck on your recovery Katie. I had one hand done as a precaution after breaking my wrist a few years ago.

Thanks everyone, I am resting but it's hard to do nothing (especially as Richard then has to do everything). I'm really lucky to have him.

I've heard the results of this surgery are great, so it will all be worth it in the end.

Do you have a half cast or anything on it Katie?

It's just a bandage Cookie. Stays on for 5 days - its a pain as I can't get it wet.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, I remember Richard needing you last year. Sit back and enjoy being looked after.

Take care Katie. I believe holding it up as you have shown in the photo is supposed to help it. Was it done with keyhole surgery? One of mine was and the other not.
I hope Richard's footy team win this weekend. I'm sure all of Australia heard DD and I screaming and shouting for our team last night. We were exhausted at the end of the game. Lucky we weren't there as we would have been thrown out for our noise.  :D :D :D

We've just popped home for a couple of hours between the church service and the reception of the wedding today. The bride looked extremely beautiful and the groom very dashing. We realised we have known the grooms parents for over 40 years. Time goes ever so quickly.

It's pouring here at the moment. The reception is on a place right on the Swan River so hopefully it doesn't rain too much and we get to enjoy the view.

One happy little lady then Denise.  I hope there's not too much ironing in all those loads of washing.

I hope you were able to get all your washing dry Denise. or do you use a dryer?

I was cheering for the crows too Judy. I'm pleased they won.  We had someone at our table at the wedding reception who kept us updated on the score.

Today I don't plan to do too much, last night was a very late night for us so a nanna nap will be on for the afternoon. It was beautiful sitting in the nice warm wedding reception looking out onto the river as it rained. The food was very nice and the bubbles kept coming all night.
