I've got a gorgeous Le Creuset Dutch oven that I've killed. I still use it to cook my cob loaves, but the bottom just isn't right anymore.
I think Le Creuset has a really good after sales service - and a lifetime guarantee (although I am not 100% sure of that fact).  Try popping on their site, or googling and see if anyone has any ideas.

Last night I went to get my hair cut - it is now so short it is spiky ... I am trendy at last (but perhaps a bit too old for spiky!).  Never mind, it will grow.

Just catching up. Mab beautiful blanket.  You are really gifted.
Marina, great news. Look after yourself. I think the spiky mod hair will suit you.
I've killed a few saucepans in my time. Since having the TMX I have got worse at burning things on the stove.  I think it should turn itself off like the TMX. ,!
Farmers market tomorrow and I have nothing prepared. Might make some SD crumpets and take done fresh lettuce from the garden, what with the salmonella in the Coles and Woolies packaged lettuce here in Melbourne.

Good idea Chookie, scary isn't it?  I shop at neither store so I don't have to worry about it but I did text DD2 as she doesn't always catch the news.

Go Marina! I have a friend who had a spiky hairdo for a while and she as well over 70 so I don't think you need worry about being too old.

After those comments, I am now almost tempted to get some hair gel and go really spiky, not just a few wee patches here and there.  ;D

Go for it Marina. Sometimes right after a hair cut I have been known to put some gel In my hair and go spikey until it grows a bit. It's would suit you as Chookie said.

Mab, your panda blanket is adorable, are the pandas appliquéd onto the blanket?
Cleaned my pantry out today, it has taken me most of the day.

Kat, the pandas were made separately then stuffed with filling and hand sewn on.

Went  to see "The Dress Maker" exhibit over the weekend, with all the beautiful gowns displayed from the movie.
It's held in a mansion just 10 minutes up the road...was stunning.
The staircase in pics, is exactly where I was married 20 years ago 😊

Happy with the jobs done at home today.  My slate floor in the kitchen/family room looks amazing, our friend who re-sealed it didn't realise it was going to come up so well.  I did the laundry and bathroom in between helping him and by 3.30 I was too tired to want him to do anything else. The majority of jobs were done plus a couple of extra so I was more than happy with that.  A bit of a rest then visited DH & Mum before coming to Glenelg to sit with my GS, GD is having a sleepover tonight.  His first week back at school must have tired him out, at 7.45 he thought he might go down to his bedroom for a little rest and I reckon I won't be seeing him again tonight.  Now it's just the dog and me but I'm tired too so that's fine with me.

Go for it Culdith and use the gel; we are only young once. After my nap this afternoon I am not feeling so young at the moment but will pick up after a cuppa (where is that DH). Blanket absolutely gorgeous Mab.

I have tried to clean the saucepan and used the vinegar and water method (thanks Cookie) and once method also said to use a bit of carb soda and I almost have a new saucepan with just a few spots to be rubbed. Think I had better go and find my own cuppa.

Troupie I hope the cup of tea helped.
Maddy what a beautiful home. I can imagine you standing on that staircase as a beautiful, blushing bride.

I had an interview today, then got another call about an interview next week. Had a good interview today, but I get the sense they have someone in mind. I was in and out like a flash, I don't think I impressed them. Oh well, plenty more fish in the sea!
