After 1 hour on the phone to Telstra, I have swapped mobile plans for the kids and saved $2000 per year. :) :)
Took some time, but worth it.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Sounds good Robyn. What have you changed to?

Happy birthday to all the kids and GC.
This morning DH drove me to do the grocery shopping. I managed to put a shoe on my foot so I didn't look too ghastly. It was nice to get home and put it up.

A visitor for morning tea, then grocery shopping.  A surprise visitor this afternoon.

Dead headed the roses yesterday and then chopped back a bush that was growing over the drive.

Went out for lunch today and saw a Peter Alexander store that had 15% off and remembered my gift card from Melbourne Forumfest. Now have beautiful new PJ pants and lots of happy memories of our get-together :)

Yes treadmills are good. Ours has been resurrected after a few years of neglect after DD was harassed by a creepy male in our local park in the middle of the day! I find the tv too distracting so I walk or jog with ear buds.

Cookie what ever you have done to your foot I hope it is better soon xx

DD, chose Taco Bills for her Birthday dinner. Company and service was good but food pretty awful. Think we are spoilt with what we can make as home cooks using our TMX and other gadgets.
Dinnigan, nice to hear from you.
Happy Birthday to DS and DD.

Love Peter Alexander's range. He has teamed up with Dame Edna Everage for Mother's Day - hilarious.

I thought I was working today, misread the roster.  :-)) Wasn't needed where I turned up but managed to pick-up a shift in recovery. The alzheimer's playing up again. All's well that ends well.  :D

Gayle you will need those lovely pjs for some of your trip. We head off to Darwin on Monday 9th.

Mich, at least the trip to work wasn't wasted.

I've been organising bits and pieces into a file for Darwin. Things like receipts for meals, rally shirts and accommodation. Its good to have them all in case of disputes. We start the rally in Katherine and then drive up to Darwin.

We went to GD number 2's Deb Ball last night.  GD looked beautiful and so grown up.  It was a lovely night but very noisy.

Today we were meant to be having a family bbq but I think this weather has put a stop to that.

Do you have many Deb balls over that way Margaret? They stopped here many years back, which is a sort of a pity.

I've not heard of them in a long time either Margaret, there are plenty of school 'formals' though.

The Deb Ball is organised by the school and is held every year for year 11 students.  The girls all wear lovely white gowns complete with white gloves. fancy hairdo and makeup etc and the boys are in suits and also wear white gloves and look very smart.  The girls. led by their partner are presented to some local dignitory and then the dancing begins.   The dancing practice started back in October last year and was held every week.  Sadly the dances are not the lovely old fashioned ballroom dances we were used to but a modern version of them.

I don't think a lot of schools still hold a ball although the school where 2 of my other GDs attend still do.  We still have 1 GD who wants to make her debut and 1 who doesn't.

The school balls are definitely held here but not as deb balls. I think it is a lovely idea to have the deb balls.

We had a bbq lunch with DS and family today.  It was an early Mother's Day lunch as the weather forecast for tomorrow is for more wind and a lot of rain.
