Cookie, that sounds like great fun.  So many people with a common interest.
Jam, you will have such fun experimenting with your 5. Lucky ducky. I didn't think I would use the Chip but I do.
I am hoping to plant my garlic today and finish my Straw Bale garden.

In Carnarvon tonight. The old car went well. We did about 469km today. We've just had a phone call to say the old car that was joining us is conked out 200 km south. Phone calls are flying around to see what is going to happen. It's very early in the trip to have major problems.
This is a photo of where we had morning coffee. It is the Galena Bridge and the old Galena crossing over the Murchison River, north of Northampton.

I hope someone can come to their aid cookie.  I guess this was always going to be in the back of your minds with cars of that age.

Cookie, I hope you don't have to back track 200km to assist. Hopefully another solution will be found.
I've done grocery shopping and put it away, washing and tidying up for DS & GS's arrival tomorrow morning.
Not happy though I vacuumed yesterday and just found a tissue in the load I have just washed..grrr, seems as though it's everywhere.

There is a mischievous little gnome in all washing machines that loves it when people leave tissues in pockets - he / she / it takes great joy in "spreading the love" of tissues throughout the entire wash.

Thanks for the photo Cookie.  I do hope someone can fix the problem for your fellow travellers.

Snap Katj, I did grocery shopping today too and was glad to get home as it was so cold in the street.

That's my pet hate Katj - I'm usually to blame though.

Met the Probus ladies for coffee, the cafe we go to was good enough to give us a $30 voucher for our raffle table at our birthday bash on Friday week.

Did your friends manage to join you Cookie?

I loathe finding the residue of a tissue in a load of washing. The bits go everywhere :P

Good news on the $30 voucher for your raffle Judy ;)

We are now in Port Hedland. Had a lovely overnight camp by the Robe River. Our,travelling companions cooked a casserole over the open fire and for dessert we had bananas coated in chocolate. It was better than a meal anywhere. Out in the quiet of the bush and absolutely beautiful.
The car that was supposed to meet us will be going back to Perth on a truck. It is terminally ill. We heard this afternoon that another old car had blown a head gasket about 200km south of here but inland. Apparently they have put some magic stuff called chemi-weld in it and are continuing. They are about 30 km north of us now, so we may catch them tomorrow.
Another bush camp tomorrow night about 130km south of Broome.
This pub is all by itself about 100km from anywhere. We called in and had an enormous lemon squash.
The other photo is sunrise at our bush camp.

You're quite a way from home now cookie, pity about the old cars which have had problems.  It's amazing what meals can be cooked in the great outdoors over an open fire.  Love the old pub.

Off to the dentist first thing this morning ... I broke a tooth on Wednesday so hope to get it repaired today.  Anything will be better than this gaping black hole right at the front of my mouth!

Cookie, thanks for the photos and story. Ral and I are both enjoying your trip.
Marina, it is wonderful what the Dentists can do.
We are looking forward to the concreter putting down the slab in Chook house today.
Yesterday we nearly finished the Straw Bale Garden. Will take a photo today.

Chookie you are indeed busy. Marina, you poor thing, my teeth tend to do similar things. I have rather a lot of crowns in my mouth. I do hope it can be repaired easily, quickly and cheaply.
DH woke me this morning at 6.30 this morning with 'look at these beautiful sunrise photos!'  We try to get on the road by 8 am, but I can do it easily from 7am. Hopefully on our 2 days in Broome I will get a small sleep in.
It's beautiful here this morning but is going to be 35 today. Thank goodness for air con in the cars.
Have a lovely day everyone.
