Lovely photos Cookie.  They remind me of our trips to the west.

Can you smile now Marina or will that front tooth take more than 1 appointment to repair?

You will have to put up a 'do not disturb' sign cookie.

Temporary repair only to my tooth at the moment.  It was an old crown so will cost the best part of $2,000 to repair - good thing my piggy bank is full!

I've had a very sad day today.I attended a funeral to say goodbye to one of my upholstery friends. She had a very brief four week battle with Pancreatic cancer. Our group is still reeling from her sudden death. We will miss her terribly. :'(

CC, that is very sad.
Marina, glad your piggy bank is full.
Cookie, we loved Broome when we visited several years ago. Have a good rest.
I have posted some photos in veggie garden thread of the progress we are making. We have been buying large bags of horse poo from a farm gate down the road. $2 a bag. Stinks to high heaven . We have yellow clay. Awful stuff.

I'm glad you were able to go and say your goodbye Denise, life is so cruel at times.
I love piggy banks Marina, especially full ones LOL.
How long does the smell hang around Chookie?  As a kid I remember Dad shovelling up that stuff daily from the baker's horse pulled delivery van - boy that's showing my age isn't it!

CC it's so hard when we have to say goodbye to a friend.  Sending you big hugs.

Today we went to a small caravan & camping expo in a town about 1/2 hour drive from home.  Lots to look at and tempt us but we didn't give in.

Very sad CC. Sending a big hug your way.
Marina that is a pain. We have just paid for DS18's 18 months of orthodontic work  :o :o :o that comes hot on the heels of work by the oral surgeon  :o :o. Hope your tooth is fixed with minimal pain to you and your wallet.
Cookie love your pics. Safe travels :)
mab you are a star. We always walk out of those shows with something lol. Our last purchase was a sat phone to take with us when we go up through central Australia and down thru WA.
Did I mention that my wallet is looking much thinner lately :-))

CC, so sad to hear of your friend ... I have heard that pancreatic cancer is very quick.
Great photos Cookie.
We had a stunning sunset here tonight - I was driving and had to pull over and stop so that I could get a good look at it - I wished I had a camera with me!

Yes Marina, that pink sunset was spectacular.
GC here today.  They are brilliant. Max(11), sanded a door step so that the door would close, brought in dust bin, then helped Ral saw off the legs of a BBQ so it would fit into an outside brick fire place.
Jilly made 30 wheat bags for heating in microwave, for stiff joints.
I cooked Lemon Surprised pud for dinner. Recipe from Forum. Used Judys tip to beat at 50 o temp. They all went back for seconds.

You' ve all been putting me to,shame. We drove about 160km today, very short. About 1km from our destination (Broome) the car we are with died. We brought the van in and DH went back to tow it in. It had a dead timing gear. We had a new one on hand so the boys spent the afternoon putting it in. We are camped overlooking Roebuck Bay, very beautiful.
We didn't have any coverage last night at our free camp. Our fellow travellers treated us to Curry and we did the rice. I had to look up how to cook rice as I don't have the thermomix with me. It was another lovely meal under the stars.
One of the other cars that has died is having repairs here, but some tempers are a little frayed as apparently they had the problems before they left. Some of the 'boys' are thinking that the old cars that are driving to National Meets should have to be scrutinised before they leave.
This is the view from our caravan in Broome.
