I’ve walked the grand-dogs, run the mop around to pick up their hair and potted up some succulents for the nursing home trading table at some stage.

After a hectic week a quiet day today , even managed to sit down and do some sewing for our quilting group and a bit of mending . Quite a contrast to the last few days . Best part was going to a friends 60 Th black tie dinner in Melbourne on Friday . Just us , we sneaked to Elstenwick and looked at the front of the block , hardly anyone there, a few with chairs lining up for inspection today ! Found that staying out to 1 am , sipping champagne makes one very tired the next day ! Still loved catching up with friends so much .

It sounds lovely. I'm not too sure if I would be able to last until 1am now a days.

Veggie garden needs a bit of attention.
Also making some herb and spice bags to hang in the wardrobes to deter moths.   Some to give away also.

I have almost finished washing windows and curtains, only 2 more to go.  Then on to the kitchen cupboard doors.

We left home in the pouring rain this morning. We are camped in Kondinin and it is blowing a gale. I forgot the Port, but I do have some bubbles. I may need the whole bottle tonight.

We have been out of touch for a day and a half.  We did the 300km of dirt road with one overnight camp and lots of stops. The wild flowers, scenery etc were fantastic. I had a close encounter with a snake a couple of days ago. I was photographing wild flowers and a car went by ( very little traffic on this road) and the vibration must have disturbed the snake. He wriggled directly toward me, I screamed and he thought better of it and veered away. Obviously my scream had lots of vibrations in it. I was proud of myself as my heart thumping halted within a moment to two.
We were both very careful after that.

Cookie, had to smile at your encounter with the snake. Think I would have screamed also.

I hate snakes.  I killed on once when the children were little, only to find it was already dead :-)) :-))

You were very brace to even do that Margaret.
Judy I honestly can't remember if I froze or what. All I know was that the snake was wriggling right in front of me and towards me. I don't think I moved away from it, lucky it did the moving.
