Scary stuff Cookie.
Lol Margaret.
I feel like cooking today. This is an "in progress" shot while I'm having a tea break  :)

Yes Gayle. The snake put me off going looking for more wildflowers for a while.

You certainly look very busy in that photo.

That sounds exciting Robyn.

We took our old car to an All Ford Day today with other members of,our club. It is the more recently restored black fordor. It overheated on the way and when we got there DH decided he wasn't going to clean the car up. He won the Hard Luck trophy! Quite a laugh.

Nice photo all the same. Hard Luck must happen fairly often if they have a trophy.

What a mess cookie, I hope it wasn’t too difficult to clean off nor affect the duco.

No damage thank you. DH tells me we need to drive the car now it is restored to iron out all the bugs!! He has to flush the radiator and motor out again.
Most car shows have Hard Luck trophies as someone usually has problems. I think there was about 500 cars at the show. Some very new ones and some Model T's which are older than ours.
A fun day as the weather was perfect, and we all sit around and chat all day. Very lazy.

We took the galah up to the SIL of a friend today. He has made a lovely big aviary for it and it will also have some inside time with him and his wife. It will be well loved.

I have had my first experience of hate on social media. I had posted on a Facebook site about the bird being found. Tonight I did the right thing and said he had a lovely new home. I have received some very upsetting comments from the admin of the group saying I should have done more and asked them to foster the bird. Had I known the site would do this I would have asked, but there was no mention of it.
I'm quite upset over it and now I am having a whinge to my lovely forum friends. I feel that next time the bird can be killed by the dog that was after it, however I couldn't do that.
Thanks friends.

Oh Cookie sorry to hear you had a terrible experience on Facebook. Some people say the most awful things. Why do they do it?  You did a wonderful thing saving the birds life. Big hugs from this side of the world :-* :-* :-*

Cookie, that is so sad.  There are many disturbed and lonely people on social media with nothing else to do but be unpleasant.  It happened to me recently and it is not a good feeling.  Just know that you did what you believed to be the right thing ... did the admin offer to help or make any constructive suggestions before that post ... No! of course he / she/ it didn't they just like to be negative and nasty and are not worth your time.  You did more than everyone else put together so #*$@@ them.

Cookie, that is awful.  What are they talking about? They were going to foster him but you found him a good home.  Some people are just plain nasty and I can understand you being upset. Like Marina said %#s& them.
I was reading some follow up comments on a recipe recently and one comment was really nasty. The person who posted the recipe had obviously worked hard to get it correct but it just wasn’t quite right.
Go Forum, in the 8 years that I have been a member, there has hardly ever been anything nasty. Some heated discussion yes but no abuse.  I suppose the Moderators have handled this.

It’s quite risky posting anything on FB these days cookie, I also read some terrible comments and don’t understand how anyone could put their abusive opinions out there for all to see.  Of course you did the right thing finding a new home for the bird yourself, it’s gone to someone you know will love and care for it.
We are very proud of our forum Chookie.
