Beautiful china Chookie. It would make the coffee taste even better.
The bread looks nice too, as you say it can be made so much cheaper if you have the know how. I found a 3 day SD loaf while playing on the ipad today. I'm very tempted to give it a go. I just need to have 3 days free in a row.
Yesterday was MIL's 90th. We went down and spent the morning with her. It was so funny as we walked in and sang Happy Birthday and presented her with her cards, gifts and cake. She had us put them aside and then completely forgot it was her birthday.

They do have to be reminded during the day cookie.  Our nursing home puts a banner on their door so everytime they go in there they get a surprise ie those who can walk.
I stayed in bed until lunchtime today then popped in to see my 2 for 3/4 of an hour before going on to Aldi for some much needed items.  I didn’t do a shop last week so there were a few things on my list but I took my time and had a good browse whilst there and ended up with 4 bags of food. Love that store.  Home, unpacked then into bed again - I feel as though I escaped prison today and made the most of it but my flu associated headache just won’t go away.

It's good to get out when you haven't been feeling too well, Judy, but so, so very good to get back home and into bed again to recover from your time away.

Judy, nice to hear that you are slowly improving.

I had my mammogram this morning and followed that up with the 6 monthly blood test to test my HbA1C for diabetes.

Thanks. I know the diabetes blood test will be good as my blood sugar readings are good. I have no concerns about the other.

I just got my call up for my regular colonoscopy today so must make an appointment sometime in the next month or two.

Mammograms are good - my younger cousin had one recently and cancer (early stage) was spotted.  She is going to be fine.
