So sad KAtie. We have good days and bad days. I think it is natural to miss your parents as they are part of your life for so long.

I went grocery shopping this morning. Before that I picked up my book club book as I missed last week as we were away. I taught one of the librarians when she was 6 and she was in this morning, so we had a lovely chat.

Cookie, love the car. Certainly a head turner.
KAtie, as we get older we seem to lose family and friends.  Always sad.
I have been spending time trying to understand my new Speed oven. ( microwave and normal ovens combined). Made bread sticks.  Couldn’t see how it was going to work, but it did. I try a different function each day.

Good on you Chookie, that's the very best way. I know I still don't use my microwave to its fullest extent.

Hair cut today.

Yesterday went to a new specialist to look at getting a mouth guard made so that I don't need the CPAP which I have been trialing. Nothing is cheap but the mouth guard is fairly comparable in price to the CPAP and is more portable, therefore more practical.  It will be a while yet before I see how it goes and have to make a decision.

An expensive mouth guard then Marina but obviously easier for you than the CPAP machine. Good luck with it.

I’ve only ever used my m/w to heat things up in, had several cookbooks over the years but never did anything.  I’m sure your oven is quite different to an ordinary m/w Chookie.

DH birthday tomorrow so I have been busy cleaning the house.  DD and family are bringing down take away from our favourite Italian restaurant.

I popped over to a Nespresso store this morning. DD is at the Ritz Carlton for professional development today and DH has taken the old ute and trailer to a display at a Bunnings store.

It is cold this morning . DH off to Coffs Harbour with his DM to SILs funeral tomorrow. So very early start . Too cold for me to get up . Very apprehensive of them flying and going , mainly due to Covid . We will have to get a lot done today but have a feeling DD DS will sleep in .

Office work today, but that's OK, I have finally managed to wrangle long weekends off so that, when necessary, I will take work up to Guildford that I am really the only one who generally does these jobs - I have had to work the weekends around two specific markets in the city (the first and third weekend of the month).  On those two weekends I will have a three day weekend, the other weekends will be four day weekends.  My poor brain is buzzing with everything I plan to do with all this extra "free" time!  It will take me a long time to get used to having time for my own pleasure.

It took me a few years after retirement to realise that I didn’t need to do most jobs on the weekend. Enjoy your ‘free time’ Marina.
