I had a visit to my eye specialist this morning. He has eventually persuaded me to have my cataracts done. The first is 7th April, provided elective surgery is going ahead,

I have heard that it is truly 'eye opening'  when you get your cataracts done, you don't realise how much vision you have slowly lost over the years.

Go for it Cookie. Ral had his done years ago and made a huge difference. I’ve postponed mine after conflicting advice.

Raking cleaning and tonight I even got to go out to bookclub ! Rather special after such a long time of no seeing beach friends.

DD has reached her first island on her trip across Bass Straight. Hogan Island. We were watching the weather and think they paddled through a storm. She sends a message each night by satellite phone, to which we can reply.  We can’t message her otherwise.
Dr visit for Ral today.
Friend dropped of another bag of plums. Plum vinegar and jam coming up.
