Well done, DD Chookie.  You must have been anxious to see that they had gone through a storm so the evening call would have been very welcome.  Do they have any news or social media coverage?

Marina, they aren’t looking for media coverage.

Yes! Put him to work whilst you have the chance Chookie, growing boys will do anything for food.

We visited friends for coffee this morning. We usually go out for it but with the covid getting worse over here we thought it best to visit each other at home. This afternoon I did the grocery shopping.
DD rang a while ago and said the health minister wants something or other re covid so she has to work late to do it.

I had my mechanic come to service the car this morning, coming back tomorrow with a new battery for me.  My new iPad finally arrived so I set that up, funny that the other 2 haven’t given me too many problems since I ordered a new one. Being bigger than the last two means I’ve had to now order a keyboard that will fit.

I am hopeless on the smaller computers if they haven't got a keyboard or a mouse.

Cooling off so will do a bit in the garden.

Me too Marina. I love my iPad with a keyboard and haven’t used my computer for a few years now. I have no intention to do so either as the iPad does everything I need.

I prefer to use my desk top PC rather than my tablet.  I learnt on a PC so that's what I prefer to use.  I don't have an IPad and my mobile phone is pretty old.

I did my grocery shopping this morning and managed to get everything I needed.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

DD has an iPad that includes a key board Judy. I’m fine with the one on the screen. I had a large nanna nap this afternoon under the air con vent.

Clever girl cookie, I have to have my separate keyboard. I’d put one on the iPhone too if I could LOL.

Mab, I am like you, much prefer the desktop - usually when I am on here I am on a laptop and I just cannot get used to the smaller keypad and getting around correcting my spelling errors is a real pain!  Get me at my desktop and I am away ... except my desktop is at work so I don't have time to respond to anything on here when I am at work.

I’ve got both desktop computer and iPad.   Use both for different things. Desktop for printing labels as it offers more adjustments. Mostly use iPad for every day. Ral has the large iPad on a stand that includes keyboard. I can’t  manage it at all. GD put my Master Card on my phone. I love using it. I feel very ‘ with it’ . We both have Apple watches. Ral uses his to take phone calls, I don’t do this. I use the time clock a lot on the watch as well as step counting. It doesn’t count the step when I’m on the walking machine. We have just started to use FaceTime and Zoom. Amazing. My poor old brain is working very hard to keep up with this technology.

Good for you Chookie, it pays to keep up with technology if you can and having the young ones around certainly helps in that respect. I’m just basic in my knowledge yet I seem to know more than some of my friends and I’m not afraid to ask Google and go from there.

Chookie when I’m on the treadmill I set my watch to do a workout. It makes the second circle go round. I use my watch for calls too if I’m not near my phone. I love being able to ask Siri to set the timer on my watch. Sometimes my phone and iPad answer too and then it’s noise every where when the timer goes off.
