How hyper can a 75 year old become Marina!
Now, there's an interesting question, but I don't think I can top Cookie's response  ;D

KAtie, frightening experience, put to good use.
Judy, perhaps you push yourself but now the medication will do it.
Mab, hang in there for your family.
Ral came home yesterday afternoon.  It was good to have him home. The nurses consulted with Dr to keep him in so they could have more goodies for morning tea. He is on a low fibre diet and I’m on a high fibre diet  :-\

Oh that’s good Chookie, I can sit back and let the new Judy do everything.

It must be so nice to have your dear Ral home, boy you’re certainly on different ends of the dietary needs scale. You’ll  take on that challenge and cope as easily as you always do.

I’ve been shopping again this morning to finish topping up my supplies. Decided to make myself a crab cocktail or two, these 2 fairly large ones cost me $17.20 so I had better be able to eat them. I figured crab meat is a lot softer than prawns which I struggle with so I’m hoping they will be OK.

You could send those to my house if you can't eat them Judy.  Yum.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Yum Judy.
I did my grocery shopping this morning for what it is worth. The shelves are even emptier. I was shocked at the price of some things. I like Rose Hip Oil if I have an itchy bite or similar. The last lot I bought, about 6 months ago was $14, Today I paid $24.
My menu plan is based on what I can buy. At least most of the fruit and veggies are local. We are no where near as badly off as Darwin or Kununnurra.

It looks like the crab will go down well ladies, tried a bit as I was peeling them.
Cookie, price rises and available stock will make life difficult for some - I hope some normality returns to your supermarkets. I think we can all look forward to the price rises though, people who know their usual price are already commenting on that aspect.

So true Judy.
This morning we went down to Kwinana (near Rockingham) for our booster vax. Very quick and easy. Fingers crossed we don't have any reaction.
Our chemist also called us to say they had  free RATS for us. Although not pensioners we do have a Commonwealth Seniors Health card. We got them as we thought if we do become ill with Covid symptoms we can use one of those to check, instead of having to go out and be tested.

Our pharmacy finally received their stock this week so I was offered 2, it’s nice to have them on hand if needed.

Handy to have the RAT on hand. None available at our local Chemist but DS bought us a packet of 20 from Cosco before Xmas. We have only used 3.
Judy, those crabs do look yummy. I have never bought crabs but always keep several tins of crab in the pantry to use as filling for Avocado and the beautiful crab soup on my blog.
Ral follow up appointment today. Slowly improving.

I'm pleased Ral is improving.
Well the Pfizer got me. I woke about 1am and was freezing cold. I ended up in winter pyjamas with a thick rug on me. I slept most of the morning and took Panadol and nurofen for the horrid pains I had in all my joints. I'm feeling much better now except for a headache. I don't mind as it is worth it to be vaccinated.

I bought a can of crab meat for a corn and crab soup recently Chookie, will check out your recipe.

That was a short, sharp reaction to the vaccination cookie - glad you’re feeling better already, I like your attitude.

I had a day out today with my Wellness Group to the Virginia Nursery followed by lunch at a hotel some distance away.  Bought an assortment of goodies from the gift shop and a couple of plants, it’s a huge nursery so we needed the 2 hours we spent there. It was only a mini bus and the poor driver had to make all our purchases fit into the wheelchair section at the back of the bus. I think they need to add on a trailer when we go to nurseries, everyone bought at least 1 plant.

That was a strong reaction, Cookie, it's so odd that it affects so many people so differently, but you are through it now and that's the main thing.

Good news abut Ral, Chookie.

Great trip, Judy.  Nurseries can be very dangerous to your wallet ... but totally irresistible and fun nonetheless.

Cookie, that isn’t a nice reaction to the injection. Hope you are feeling better.
Judy you asked how GS knew he had COVID.  His friends had it and tested positive so rang him and suggested he get tested.
Started clearing out the files.  The business ones, no trouble but the recipes are a real headache.I have 3 printed collections. Each file is about 4 inches thick. I’m finding it quite exhausting

We took some furniture up to DD’s house this morning. Mum left her some lovely solid jarrah pieces.  Hopefully her security screen doors and security go in this week. They were ordered before Christmas. I stayed at home and cleaned up the mess left behind while they lugged furniture.
