Had a long chat with DD this morning. Believe it or not her last Uni day was on Thursday! Has five assessments to complete in the next few weeks . Leaves Italy tonight (Sunday morning there) to London for a week then contiki tour ! DD sent a box of her things home 🤞. DS managed to go out with his school mates on Friday night, so pleased they got to do this , now he is back studying for all exams ahead . Lamb marking was all happening on DS last day and early this morning they finished up . DH temporary crown come off this morning! So he will hopefully get it fixed tomorrow. .

Guest speakers at Book Club were very interesting. Didn’t think I would enjoy it as they had written a book about the Essendon Football Club in the late 50’s to early 60’s. However it was great. Ral was a keen Essendon fan and I realised that I knew a lot of what they were talking about.
The Probus Book Club discussion was good also.

That’s great Chookie. I asked elsewhere about your DD but I should have read this first.
DD and I went to Costco yesterday. I had a bit of a spend up. Today I went back to a Black Pepper shop and bought another couple of shirts. I like their clothes.

Cookie, it’s a good time to buy new clothes.
Gas ducted heater still playing up. They brought the boss out today. He also didn’t know what the trouble was/ is. Today max temperature of 10. At the moment , feels like -2.
I’ve decided to replace one of the ovens. I’ll keep one and use it for warming and grilling. So probably buy a steam oven. I’ll do it next year as too much happening in the next couple of months.

Chookie, it’s most annoying when there is a problem with an appliance and those in the know can’t diagnose the problem. Is he going to do anything about the heating problem?  That’s awfully cold for this time of the year so heating is essential.
Cookie it’s hard to come out of Costco without spending a lot, it’s a great place to wander around if you have time.

Chookie that’s  what is so great about book clubs you read what you normally would not and are always surprised. Chookie that gives you lots of time to investigate which steam oven is best l
Collected DS after English Exam yesterday home overnight back later today . DH went to a Ram sale and collected them this morning! Very good looking rams . I went to a woman’s event for mental health , by a lady who is well known for her incredible input from top of Australia to bottom , Are you bogged mate ? I different in site to preventative male suicide . In lightning and informative in a  different approach to male mental health, especially in the farming and agricultural side .

A group of farmers over here started a group called 6B’s. It’s blokes, barbecue, bonding,bull&$#@,
Beers and bonfires. They hold them all over the southern part of the state and men travel to them. It was started by a farmer called Bradley Milstead from Watheroo north of Perth. Local butchers often supply the meat and shops the other food.

I did my food shopping today.

Had a lovely day with 91 year old from Tai Chi class. Hope I’m that good at her age.  Has all her marbles although uses a walking frame.  This didn’t stop her from sitting on a stool for lunch and spending up big on slacks and jacket. Talked me into a pair of slacks that she said that I needed for the Cruise over Xmas.
Installation of reverse cycle unit today.
K Atie and Cookie, great to hear that there is such support for farmers mental health. They battle the seasons and work such long hours.

That would have been a special day out Chookie. As far as the men’s group goes - I’d love to be a fly on the wall at one of those get togethers LOL. I love seeing a group of men out relaxing with a coffee, the Europeans do it well and our Men’s Sheds seem to be a popular group too. There is certainly more awareness now of the importance of these groups.

The problem is the high rate of male suicide exceeds women drastically. Ours was a woman’s night about this . DH didn’t go to the men’s night ! It’s more the fact they don’t get to sit around and talk , as you said the Europeans have it all worked out . Today we took DD car to be serviced and yet again DH temporary crown came off , so he had that fixed too . DD s car horn and power to stealing wheel ( all the volume buttons etc do not work ) so lucky we are on to it . DH did jobs and I cat napped in the Ute all day . Home now . DS has maths exam tomorrow and Monday .

Gym and coffee, then lunch with DD.
Took most of yesterday to have air con installed. Made new recipe for Cheese and olive scones for morning tea. Was very surprised that the workers preferred the cheese scones to the plain ones with jam and cream. Will put recipe on my Blog when I have time.

So the other one won’t be used at all now Chookie?

Yesterday I started another core and balance group session at 9 am, so now I do 1 session in the gym and 2 of this one which is harder but I feel it does more for me. Dental check-up after that, only a few small things needing to be done over the next couple of weeks.

This morning I have dead-headed my neighbour’s roses and swept up the leaves on
the artificial lawn. I’ve been doing this plus the watering whilst the house opens were happening and now it’s been sold I’ll do it until settlement at the end of November. Neighbour has gone into care and her son doesn’t live nearby so I was happy to volunteer my services. Gardens are my happy place.

That's very good of you Judy.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Very kind of you Judy. Sounds like my DH. He mows our lawn, one next door (the guy was a smoker and has dreadful emphysema and the one down the road as her husband died last year.
