A mad dash home to go out for girls lunch ! Home 20 mins ! I managed to unpack car put wet washing on line put another load on , feed chooks , tidy up the kitchen a bit and change also water pot plants at front door . Lucky I was picked up ! Lovely time catching up and a bonus seeing a friends garden that was like the most beautiful oasis of micro climates . Home late to feeling rather tiered . 5 mins rest then created dinner to take to paddock! Men home at 4.30am harvesting! I didn’t sleep well as kept waiting for them to be home .

Judy it always stresses me when I do these mad home arrivals. Super fast and crazy to do really . Today thankfully men slept in . The day was so hot. DS decided he needed a hair cut , so I drove him in ( thinking he would sleep ) I did a huge two supermarket shop ! DS went to Kmart and got a shite shirt and black pants for a B and S party ! Then he met me at Aldi a very good packing system we did . Off to voles to get more household stuff . DS comment “ the wheels might fall off the trolly !! Well they needed harvest food . Must say no shopping for weeks so it was big . After all the food we got it was frozen pizza 🍕 for dinner . Paddock ban ment we could do this and I rained a little . Think being over tiered means I cannot sleep . DD had me going for walks the last few weeks to get our steps up .

Cookie, glad you are feeling better. Hope this continues.
The 91 year old from my Tai Chi class hosted dinner for 3 of her class mates. I was lucky to be included. It was a lovely evening with interesting company and lovely food.
I needed a special gift for my Financial advisor. I looked at Wilson’s hampers but didn’t see anything suitable. They suggested I select what I thought appropriate and that they would package it up with fresh fruit. Perfect and what a service.

Yesterday when I was straining some vegetables for dinner I managed to tip quite a bit of boiling water over my hand.  Fortunately I only burnt half my hand, I put it under the cold tap straight away and DH wrapped some ice blocks in a towel for me to keep on my hand.  Some of the blisters have broken and it looks a bit of a mess.  It has made today's cooking session a bit awkward.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I’ve just read what you’ve prepared Margaret, fantastic effort and well done you. I can’t imagine how you’ve managed to keep cooking after your accident, it must be pretty painful for you. Tomorrow will be a huge gathering, I hope you all have a wonderful time but please do take it easy and let the young ones do most of the work.

Oh Mab. Such an easy thing to do at the most inconvenient time. Take care and do as Judy suggested- sit back.

I had my hair cut today and finished off some last-minute things. I'm not going near the Westfield now until after Christmas. Only the little Italian deli and my local food shops.

Oh Mab, that isn’t good. Hope you cope with the entertaining.
Yesterday I baked all day. Testing the setting the repair lady showed me for the oven.   Think this is going to work.

Mab, that is so easy to do - and it always happens when you are busy, hope your hand recovers very soon.

Went to the market to do a big pre-Christmas shopping yesterday to find that I had left my shopping list at home.  I had to rely on a very sketchy memory and did'nt do too badly - I only forgot the onions so that was an easy fix later in the day.

Had a great weekend. Xmas Picnic lunch with friends, just DS and I as DH had to do harvest jobs . We arrived home late but DD was home and I organised her to pug the lasagna in the oven . Nice meal together. DS made Baby Dutch pancake for my birthday breakfast. Spoilt . DD and I drove to nearby town to get a coffee. Few calls from friends which is always nice . Dinner was great again and DS had brought a pavlova base with me day before. So he whipped the cream and put fresh fruit on top. Candle and Happy Birthday. DD had organised presents and champagne. She had got cinnamon cardamom buns , so at lunch time put a candle in each one , spoilt with family being together and men in for all meals . Harvest is semi on pause but so much to do trucks coming to cart Canola away to Melbourne at the moment. Oats next . I’ll be harvest widow again . Preparing for Xmas lunch , very unorganised.

Sounds like you had a very nice birthday K Atie with your family all being home. Pity DH has to work so hard at this time of the year.

It all sounds lovely KAtie. I’ve been doing a bit of Christmas prep today. We also had a visit from a young couple who used to rent down the road. They were very pleased that they had bought their house when they did.

Caught up with a few of DH family for lunch . Men doing sheep work . GF and I went to the golf club Xmas drinks ! No I don’t play golf but we get to go each year and it’s a lovely way to touch base with everyone. Home to cook dinner ! Boys home late , doing catch up jobs , no harvest as too damp .
