What have you been doing today?

I sorted out the linen cupboard today.  A few old towels for the garage and some other items I no longer need for the op shop.

I also sorted out the freezer and found a small piece of lamb so will roast that for dinner tonight.

Ohh Cookie.
Spent a lovely hour in the garden last evening. Inspired by a trip to Bunnings and the arrival of a seed order from Diggers. I’m setting  up an outdoor garden room. The largest outdoor space is at the front of the house. I have a lovely table and chairs out there, but the wind is often too strong to sit out. I’m having retractable blinds installed on the 3 sides.
K Atie, could you soak the grains to remove any chemicals?

DD and I went out for coffee. I spent the afternoon chasing car club members who are late paying their fees. I think adults are worse than kids 😀😀

Cookie, you are doing a difficult job collecting subscriptions. I’m sure people appreciate it even if they don’t pay on time.
It’s going to be 35 here today. I’ll be staying in side with A/ C on. Might clean some silver.

Very warm so lots of washing ( trying to get blood stains out of all DS bed linen ! So hopefully the sun bleaches it . Now to work out an easy dinner in the heat ! .

Some of our split system air cons are going in tomorrow. We’ve been making sure they will have a clear easy job. We have shifted things around to make it easy for them.

Back to Tai Chi and Mahjong today.

I’m going back to my  Monday gym class this morning to ease myself into my exercise regime. The other 2 classes are so much more strenuous so will start them next week. It will be nice to see the ladies again, I’ve missed all the fun and laughs we have on a Monday.  My Melbourne kids arrive later today, luckily they have a nice cool day for the trip over.

Back to Probus activities this week.
Friend coming for lunch. We are enjoying cool weather after just 2 hot days.
Had a nice meal out at Italian restaurant in Ballarat. Several new restaurants have opened lately in Ballarat.

Yesterday late afternoon went to DGF house to start making our Onion jam we do each year for the local hospital market . We make a double batch . It takes quite a long time ! So had dinner there .! Boys got their own takeaway truck food ! Fist thing this morning I did step two of my eggplant dish and then back to DGF to finish off Onion jam . So it reduces down to a third . Made lots of jars and some for each of us . DGF was on a roll because this was her second batch . So good to do things like this together. Then we zoomed off to bookclub . Two days of seeing another human being! Now I feel a bit more normal. DS is getting his Ute ready to go ! Put on drivers lights ! They look really good and not obvious. They are carting grain and cleaning out field bins ( they have been in the paddock to store the grain as they harvest . Now they have gone tonight yo drop the Ute off for service!

Cleaning silver. The silver on display has kept its shine pretty well for 12 months.

Our air con was completed this morning. It was wonderful today as it got to 40°.
