Happy Mothers Day DJ and CC.  I only have gas heating, I love sitting by an open fire, mine is outside in the BBQ area.

CC and DJ I hope you both had lovely days yesterday.

I went and saw my darling 90 year old friend this morning. I felt awful as I hadn't been to see her for some weeks. She is in the same nursing home as Mum was and all the smells get to me with their memories. Once I am there and we sit in the garden it is fine. I felt awful that I hadn't seen her for so long. I really must make more effort.

Cookie, thats why I'm so glad my grandparents aren't in a nursing home. We visit them at their house and it smells exactly the same as when I was a little girl, and it brings back lots of nice memories :D

I hope all our UK mothers were spoilt rotten for UK Mothers Day :-* :-*

We had a public holiday here today, but DH still worked so I had a fun day with the girls - made a marble run out of old cereal boxes and empty toilet roll tubes, then we made playdough and played with that, made sausage rolls with them for lunch, read stories, danced to playschool songs, played lego.
Oh and washed, hung, brought in and folded 3 loads of washing, emptied both dish drawers and loaded one, tidied and vacuumed the house, made all the beds with clean sheets........ :)

We made it to the beach today. Long drive & even longer drive home with all the end of long weekend traffic. But it was so worth it! Beautiful day, so nice to feel cool for a change. Only down side was I think I strained my back slightly while boogie boarding. That'll teach me to try to keep up with the young ones!

Well, at least you can boogie board Dee. I remember trying to learn to surf with DS, then 10yrs old. Too bottom heavy, couldn't get off my knees  :D

Got a hot flush when I saw your beautiful fireplace, but it does look so cosy . I prefer being cold rather than hot. Love the cat pics maddy and ES, they brought a smile to my face.

Some days I should just stay in bed >:(
I forgot to set my alarm last night, so I slept through my morning walk
Went to work, but left my phone at home, and I need to make some calls, but the numbers are all in my phone.
The server at work won't boot up, so I cant access any of my files.
The computer consultant is not answering his phone or returning messages.
oh, and the forecast today is another scorcher - 38 or 39C
