Yes I have been listening to the happenings on the hill. I would hate to be the speaker, she really has her work cut out for her. Yesterday I had to keep sending sms's to DD as she wanted to know what was happening and can't use her phone etc at work. She snuck peeks.

Hally is it at all possible that some of the family in Melbourne could do it for you or at least make a start? I have done it twice and it is a VERY big job.

I spent over 2 hours at the hairdressers today like Deedub, it was nice to sit and read magazines though even if it did make me later than usual to visit Geoff.

Thank you all for the 50th wedding congratulations.  We went to the Burswood Casino for the first time in Perth yesterday to celebrate DH birthday. We caught the courtesy bus from just up the road at 9.15am and arrived at the Casino at 10am.  we became members (free) and bought our $10 fun packs each.  We had $20 each to spend at the pokies and with absolutely no idea what to do and looking like real newbies and out of place and so we had a free cup of coffee and tried to decide what to do.

Lights were flashing and money was tingling with payouts, people paying out $500 and more at the gaming tables, it was all rather bemusing. We finally settled onto a pokie and put our money in.  In the end we spent $40 and gained $15 so no gold bracelet for the 50th!  The fun package included free all you can eat at a very well stock buffet/restaurant.  Well worth the money for that alone
All in all it was good day out but the Scottish blood in me would be hesitant to do it again. We arrived back at 5pm

Me again - sorry haven't been on for a couple of weeks, have absolutely no hope of catching up on the news but hope all is well.
Lately I've been preoccupied with kids' birthday parties and preparing for job interviews. Had 1st face to face interview last week, went very well and I'm through to the next which is next week. So today while I'm supposed to be 'working' from home, I've been busy researching interview questions and techniques - it's a 'behavioural' interview so need to know what I'm going to talk about! Really keen on this job, especially with current atmosphere at my workplace - I'm even thinking of asking for a redundancy package, with or without new job.
Cooking has taken a back seat I'm afraid - thermie still gets used, just not as much. Never seem to be home these days! School holidays coming up, I have to work most of the time but at least on my days off I won't have to make school lunches yipppee!

Hope you are all keeping well, happy cooking!

Deedub you certainly sound very busy. We love it if you can pop in occasionally. Sometimes lige gets in the way of forums. ;)

I'm officially employed with a group called Eskleigh. Had my orientation today and signed the dotted line. Now to wait for my first shift which will be a buddy shift to start me off. :)

Hope the second interview goes well Dee.  :D

Dede, is this a carers position? You are such a motherly, caring sort of person to people, children and critters. If I needed to be cared for, I would choose you.  :D
