I did the beep test in high school and from memory I think I did OK, but I didn't really enjoy it. I personally like running, but I don't enjoy it because firstly my fitness now is SHOCKING, and secondly I'm a little 'top heavy' so running has never been all that comfortable. It's actually quite painful. Hopefully as I lose weight that will change. Or maybe I can actually find a sports bra that works.

I never used to be a runner either Amanda. I hated it. I used to be very top heavy, but I persisted with exercising and I've dropped 4 cup sizes :o
No more black eyes and bruised knees for me ;)

A good sports bra is crucial though. I love my triumphs :D

I did get a good one, and it worked well - not enough for running though. It doesn't fit me anymore...
:-S

I'm going to lose some weight first using food-management and walking, etc, then start trying more intense exercising. I can't wait until DS is old/big enough to ride a bike on his own. There's a coupe of the Melbourne City bike stations near my place, and some great bike paths. DS is staying at his Dad's place next week-end, so I might go for a bit of a ride. And once the weather warms up, and its daylight for a bit longer, I can go for ride's when DS's dad comes over. I love riding. You don't really feel like you're exercising.

Today we drove from Adelaide to Melbourne following a hectic week of catching up with relatives, meeting the Fella's relatives for the first time (think I passed), seeing the pandas & so on. Couldn't resist switching thermie on as soon as I got home, just to see him say hello!

Or maybe I can actually find a sports bra that works.

I normally wear two sports bras when i do high impact exercise (as infrequently as possible).

Same - I had a sports bra with all the support and underwire, then a tight material one over the top of it. It was the most support I'd gotten, but my knees still wouldn't have handled running - I need to lose more weight for running.

You don't mind the discomfort of wearing two bras when you have the comfort of no movement... Lol

LOL Judy should I be worried for the retreat weekend? :o

I'd like to know why they say a "pair of knickers" but not a "pair of bras". Can anyone explain that to me?
