Very true Suzanne and very disappointing. Best to avoid and stick with deserts that work. I swear by cheesecakes as they never let me down.
Something is happening out here in the ocean. A boat went slowly past then stopped and was flashing its lights. Another larger one came from the marina and now both going back together and no more lights flashing. Can't stop thinking about the poor family :(

It's treacherous CC. We have some safe patrolled beaches here and drownings are isolated but still happen. We have lived here for 3and 1/2 years and this is the second incident that we have witnessed and both within two months. The beach here is not patrolled by surf lifesavers so why would you risk it. There is a patrolled beach at Quinn's which is 2 minutes from here by car. Even then to be honest I would only go in for a paddle as I have a fear of sharks.
The 2004 tsunami was horrific and so sad that you knew someone who was killed.
If a tsunami hit here our home would be gone as we are about 15 metres from the ocean :o
It's the chance we take I guess

So sorry about this MF.
The sea and nature can be dangerous and cruel.
People seem to be losing the link to sea and countryside and danger when once everyone understood how not to take risks.

We suddenly had an inch of snow this morning, then rain, now sun.
Crazy weather.

I am sure the weather is changing. I lived in the UK until I was 26 and I remember long summer nights outside playing in shorts or summer dresses when I was a child until the sun went down which was very late. Winters were cold but fresh and crisp but now it seems those days are gone. It's different here now also since we arrived in 1981.  Hope all is well with you DJ and thinking of you  :)
