Ink kit how lovely for her. She will be able to thaw out up there.  :)

Hally sadly these things happen. I get on really well with my brothers, always have and still do. We even started an argument and had to stop ourselves from being so pathetic. Love to you all. Try and get some pleasure from the unexpected trip. Your DH is brave to drive in Melbourne. I would be too scared to. I don't know what to do when you see a tram, unless I am on foot.  ;) ;)

Perhaps this should go in the ooops section. :)

Had a load of washing on this morning and went to check on it only to find that the laundry trough had over flowed and there was water all over the laundry floor, into the bathroom and toilet and running down the hallway. :o  It took forever to clean it up and I am sure there is some still under the freezer.  Just as well the floors are polished boards and we haven't got around to putting in carpets yet.

Condolences to you and your family Hally.

It is a shame that the passing of a loved one always seems to bring out the worst in people.

I went o Tenina's Mexican class tonight an cough up with Jeninwa . The class was great and it was nice to see a friendly face.

Condolences H, never easy losing a parent.

My dear Mum (92) had to have major surgery on her face last year. I didn't realise how much it affected me. Lost weight, couldn't eat, more worried than I showed. She came through it remarkably but it has been very hard on her. Off for her 6 month check up today.  She is Wonder Woman to us!

Last day of work before school hols tomorrow, a few things to whisk up tonight. Sad that TM isn't coming but don't want to risk taking it in car for 7 hour drive. Looking forward to a great week with friends.

Glad you are all settled in Hally, it's very cold her this morning so the best place to be is definetly in bed! I always find it funny hearing non melbournians talking about driving here. I've lived here my entire life and learnt to drive in the CBD when we were living there,  so i don't see it as being difficult and even though I don't particularly like it I've driven in each of the countries we've visited without any real problems. Amazing what you can do when you need to.

I hope the family realise how disresptectful and petty all the fighting is. We've had the same in both mine and DH's family and it's such a shame as we've found very hard to mend the bridges that are broken.

Welcome to Melbourne, Hally.  At least we've put on a sunny day for you.

We often see cases of families bickering at each other over an estate - they come into our shop with items for valuing and, often, the items are not worth as much as they had fantasised and it is not a comfortable position for us.  I do not envy you having to face this sort of caper.  Keep your dignity, don't let anyone undermine your integrity.

I don't blame you.  I live here and try my best to avoid driving through the CBD as much as possible.  Sometimes I have no choice, but always try to find a way around it.  In all honesty, like anything, once you get used to it and know your way around and which lanes to be in, etc. it's really not that bad (or so I tell myself).

If I'm going into the city I will usually get a tram and walk once I'm there - it's cheaper and easier than finding and paying for car parks.

I can drive anywhere pretty much.. The only place that freaked me out a little is the rond pont des etoiles in paris or the round about around the arc de triumph.. Crazy... Game of chicken every second... I got across but my heart was beating out of my chest.. Anywhere in oz is peanuts in comparison lol

Hally sorry to hear about your family fighting over inheritence... It is disgusting the way money and belongings brings out the worst in some ppl.. Hugs x
