I think you are just the gal to do it Hally. I am ending him over right now. And thank you

Our garbage bin is almost empty every week. It is the bi weekly bottle bin which needs more frequent collecting,

That would be a first Hally.  I look forward to seeing DH  make a cup of tea.

Oh Gert how absolutely ghastly. I left the lid of our bin up once, ever so slightly and the flies got into it. I have no idea what was in there but OMG what a mess. I feel very sorry for you. Make sure you belt DH where the marks won't show.  ;)

Eww Gert. Don't like your chances on the retraining of DH. Think that ship has sailed.
Nuff creepy critter stories please. I can't stop itching now.

The first time I saw maggots I felt ill. Now. I can pick them up bare handed. Because they are the same colour as our tiles it is difficult to see them unless they are moving and they can move pretty quickly.

Think I have got them all today but you tell me how DH did not feel the under  bare feet. Yuk!

You're so cool and calm, Gert. I would have screamed the house down :D

We visited Whale World today. It's an old Albany whaling station that had been turned into a museum. Very informative and interesting morning.

Then we checked out Natural Bridge and the magnificent views in that area.

The Southern Ocean was turquoise blue near the shore and the emerald greens of the hills was just stunning! My photo doesn't do it justice at all.

I used to be swatting flies all day long, until I found out that the only way to get them was spray. I really don't know why they like our house so much, and probably will get a pest man to spray. I bought a couple of fly attractant bottles, and the vegie patch seems to be well loved for blowies and flies judging by the speed at which they fill the bottles.

We had our house sprayed a couple of months ago - and if I had $1 for every dead insect I had since vacuumed up, it would have paid for the spraying - and some lots!! We decided to get it done after Miss2 was bitten by a jack-jumper and turned into an insect-a-phobe!! :(

Had to google jack jumper, Astarra - had never heard of them. - they're nasty little things!!  No wonder your daughter has an aversion to insects now!!
