CC, what a beautiful piece of furniture and your DH has done a magnificent job.  Such a talented family.  Louis is indeed a very lucky boy to have such a lovely bed lovingly crafted by his Grandparents.

Thank you, ladies 😄😃

He has outdone himself, again. Just took him 6 months 😁

The business partner of the sander dropped by just now. And DH has a job if he gets bored of his current day job. Hahaha.

The sander is very good, by the way. 35yo guy who migrated from Ireland. Good bloke and seems passionate about his work. Quite a rare tradie today. So if you need a sander and you're in Perth, I'd recommend him.

Amazing job and colour. What is the timber?

Gert

Timber is red ironbark, Gert. DH bought it via gumtree. An installer had a batch lying around.

Lovely floorboards BZB. I'm sure you will enjoy the lounge room when it all comes together. Is the piano in the lounge?

BZB, beautiful.  The wood is really lovely,I haven't seen red iron bark before.  Is there another project to do? Keep feeding him well.  It is nice to have some names of decent tradies.  I have a few I know will be prompt and do a good honest job, and a few you wouldn't ask back.

Nice cot and nice floor ladies.

Bit chilly here this morning. Apparently 2 degrees, I got a coffee and a grope from cold hands in bed earlier. Made me get out in a hurry I can tell you!

I can understand that Nikkit..

I was up at 0400 to take DH to the airport to fly to Sydney to a DIDEDIE  lunch. In his bag he had packed  copies of his self published ( read photocopied) third volume of his autobiography of his 50 years with Qantas. I asked him why he did not just email it to those who requested a copy and he replied that it  might find it's way into the hands of those  unfavourably mentioned  in the book!  It may be a long boozy lunch for the participants as he may give a reading of a chapter or two after a glass of red or three!

Meanwhile I have a book a chook and 36 hours of doing NOTHING.

Have you read DH's books Gert?  He obviously had many tales to tell if he is on volume 3.

Gert in heaven today - have fun  ;D

Denise, there are ALWAYS projects waiting for him as ours is a 70s house with the requisite ugly tiles, archways and not-efficient kitchen 😁

Will have to wait for him to recover plus finances to stop depleting before the next big one - KITCHEN 😱😱😱
