Lol Mich that would be me having micro sleeps. I have been known to stretch and go to sleep before. Lovely to hear your daughter has enjoyed some time with you in the kitchen Robyn.
Lovely day here on the farm. Here the kids are exploring in the forest.

I hope to see Gone Girl next weekend. I loved the book.
INAID the children look like they are having fun.
I slept most of the day, much like yesterday. I think someone left me a gift at the rally. The flu. One week down now so hopefully it won't last too much longer. I'm sleeping more than a new born at the moment.

Erm without sounding smug, I took the Helicopter to the pub on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday for lunch. I wanted to recce the route before taking some family so I took the small helicopter and tested the routes in and the power settings for landing. If you are interested this was / is the pub that I went to. I am not associated with the pub so I am not advertising it.
I can say that the pub is probably pretty amazing all year round. In the summer it is fantastic as the view are exceptional (except when some oik comes clattering in with a helicopter to land) and in the winter the open fires and hearty beers and ales would be equally appealing although maybe best you get someone else to drive :-)

The Black helicopter is the smaller of the two - its a Robinson R22 - great little helicopter but really really REALLY twitchy - you have got to be on your game otherwise you will have a bad day!
The silver helicopter is the exact same helo that is on my profile picture. She is a Robinson R44 - 4 seater version of the R22 but she has tons more power and is an absolute dream.
So the same journey was conducted on Wednesday as it was on Tuesday on they the helicopter was different. The Wednesday trip (in the R44) was nearly 30mins quicker - she really does clatter along! For those that are remotely interested, take a look on Youtube at the Jamiroquai song "White Knuckle Ride". No I am not JK (I wished!!!) but he is flying a Robinson R44.....totally cool!
I am very privileged...I get to Marry Mrs Rotorchef to be, I fly Helicopters and I own a TMX 31.......WOOOOOOHHHOOOOOO oh, and I return to Mrs Rotorchef to be to be on the 15th October, not that I am counting down the sleeps like a little kid!

Well you have had a fun time recently with more to come Rotorchef. That Robinson 22 is a neat little machine and as you know is very popular in Australia.. I believe there are one or two forum member who use theirs for mustering. I recently was in New Zealand and the Robinson44 is neat machine used for Heli Skiing along with some others.
Alway fun to know what our members are up to and thanks for the heads up on the hotel. You never know where our forum members are and good to know these travel tips.
Best wishes to you both.

Not many pubs have helipads RC, is flying helicopters a necessity around that part of the world? Do you fly for a hobby or occupation?

Thanks for sharing RC. (How mundane is my life). Glad they have a helipad at The Bear.
A very happy chappy, lucky Mrs RC. You will have to introduce her to the forum.

Mine is even more mundane
, mind you all the money in the world wouldn't get me into a helicopter, a small plane or a hot air balloon unless I was in an area where a volcano was erupting and my life depended on it

On my last holiday up north I had two helicopter and one small plane ride, wonderful. What am I doing today! I have decided to finish a UFO. (Unfinished object). A log cabin quilt top I made years ago, turning it into a tablecloth.

Work this morning, then took DS 17 to orthopedic specialist as he has a curve in his spine. The specialist was unsure what to do about it and is having a meeting with a spinal surgery in the morning to discuss treatment. We go back again in the morning. Oh and they found a squashed vertebra as well. He asked us if DS had ever been in an car accident to cause that kind of damage. But I said no as I couldn't think of anything that would cause it. But my dad reminded me that when DS was little he fell off a motor bike towing a trailer at slow speed and the trailer ran over him. But he was fine as it was only a small trailer and he wasn't hurt. Oh well I guess we will find out more tomorrow.
One more thing my TM5 arrived this morning while I was at work
