haha I work at the pasta factory! I'm the multimedia designer there (I design all the packaging, ads, website, etc).
I get all the free pasta I want... But I'm sick of it LOL.

That's always the way BB, even those who work in a chocolate factory I believe.

Congratulations to DS Maddy, a lot of practise ahead for him but I am sure he will enjoy it. :)

Great macarons BB, haven't tried to make them yet, maybe one day

Had a gorgeous lunch and a BIG catch up with Karen H. today.
Great to see you again Karen - we'll catch up again when the fruit is ripe for a swap.

Morning all!

It has been a while since I've been in and had a chat, but have been a tad busy with a few things.

First world problem - my coffee machine died this morning BEFORE it made my first cup  :( Hubby suggested I make an instant coffee, I suggested he not come home from work this arvo! I have just ordered another one...it better be here real soon!

Our eldest gorgeous girl turned 18 on the weekend and we survived the party. Her friends are far too sensible and barely got tiddly, so there was no cleaning up to do!

Our youngest gorgeous girl is ranked #1 in a few subjects at school, so she is stoked and we are pretty darned proud. She told me last night that she's aiming for the Dux again this year...I hope she gets it!

Our 2 cherubs that didn't stay with us have just turned 11 and 15 - doesn't seem that long ago that they were born, yet seems another lifetime ago. Their roses are flowering beautifully in the garden - amongst the weeds!

I spent 2 days last week on the spunky spotty horse at a clinic, where we learned sooo much our brains were full. Trevor, Ron and bananas is all I can still remember. (Traverre's, Ronderres and side passing/half passing amongst other things!) Don't worry non-horsey people - makes perfect sense to me as it was the only way I could remember the fancy names and what they mean!!

I've upped the anti on my business from home (cooking classes  ;) ) and am busy testing recipes, eating good and bad ones  ??? there's been a few recipes that have hit the bin, sharing cakes etc!

Hubby has had an extreme 4wd comp and suffered many dramas with the truck. They had fun, but now the fix up begins. My take on it - the 4 round black thingys are off, the diff thingy and axle are out, fuel tank had floaty bits in it that made the noisy bit up the front go quiet - which was a shame as it did play a good tune for a while! And something about brakes - apparently they are over-rated, there are plenty of rocks and trees around to help one stop, but I note that hubby has ordered new ones, so maybe he does use them after all.

I have the MIL coming this Saturday for 3 weeks and 2 of the weekends I am jumping ship to go campdrafting :o. Not too sure if she'll be impressed with that, but anyhoo! So I have been cleaning her room from top to bottom, getting the things she likes and hopefully it will keep her happy while I bug out to play with my horse and some cows!

And I have almost kept up with the T5 debacle, error codes, sick new machines, late/lost deliveries (Wonder - you deserve a medal) and all the other goings on.

Hope everyone is well and happy  ;D

Oh, Nikkit, first world problems here too - our dishwasher is broken! I may have to stop cooking! I am pretty annoyed as its only about 3 yrs old and a pretty pricey Bosch one. Hope it's an easy fix for handy DH.

So this morning is going to be washing dishes, doing washing and cleaning, and then getting started on a heap of cupcakes for the school gala this Friday.  Well, I probably won't do much today, but will make the roux for the frosting and leave it in the fridge until tomorrow.

DD finishes kindy next week and will be at school the week after. So I need to plan for her leaving day at kindy (just chips and fruit kebabs) and her birthday party, plus a family dinner.
My little baby, off to school! 😳 she has had two visits to her new class and I think she will be fine, but still expecting a lot of tears and clinginess like she had at kindy.

Nice to be updated on what's going on in your life Nikkit  -  as usual plenty ;D

Yours too Jo, I hope DD will enjoy the transition from kindy to school.  Being a 'big girl' now I'm sure she'll adjust very quickly. As for her Mum, it will probably be harder for you ;)

Good to hear your news girls.  My youngest had huge separation issues Jo,  I think they like to make us suffer.  No probs now...she's 20.
Nikkit, always great to hear your news and very intrigued by the cooking classes, tell more?

Nikkit, lovely to hear from you. You and Spotty horse have been busy. Good  luck with the cooking, you can do it.
I think I fully understood your description of the 4WD problems. We have all those sorts of noises here, plus angle grinding, hammering and the odd swear word.  Oops, nearly forgot, lots of welding to help the power bill go really high.
MIL will probably love being left to her own devices, she can commune with her son. :)

Enjoy your time with spunky, spotty horse.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

:D :D :D We have similar sessions here though not 4WD. Remember that TV ad where the male of the house puts the car bit (exhaust was it?) in the dishwasher? I caught DH about to try that before a car show & shine day once  :o  Boys and their (very expensive) toys  :-))

I am with you Nikkit. The choice of MIL or camp drafting. I would choose camp drafting and I don't even know what it is!

I've been socialising and shopping today, more Christmas presents.  I've started wrapping and stacking, quite organised this year.
