That makes me cross troupie. Both Woolworths and Coles seem to be removing brands from their shelves.
... and replacing them with own brand / generic items which are, supposedly, just the same, but I simply find them to be cheap and nasty rip off copies.  But I guess they are more profitable for the shops so we will never get rid of them.

Seems to be the trend.  I have been doing battle with Woolworths for about a year, over their removal of 10 k bags of Laucke flour.

Yesterday we removed the netting off 5 Apple trees and pruned them.  Then we chipped the prunings.
Today we start on the Carpet Roses.

Sounds as though you will be busy Chookie. We did our roses during the last couple of weeks. I only need to give them a scale pill and they should be right. The lovely man next door had scale in a hedge and he has controlled it but not before some escaped to our place. Horrid things.

I find most of the removed products pop up at my local IGA.

Yes, me too Kimmy. I frequent my IGA more often now adays.

I went out to lunch with my Mum's sisters today. They are all in their high 80‘s. It was a fun experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. One is looking quite elderly, but they have all shrunk and now I feel tall near them, the entire 152cm of me. A couple of second cousins were there too, they are both ageing just as I am. The meet every month or so, so hopefully I can go next month too.

I just spent an entirely delightful day exploring Fremantle with the kidlet and DH, poking around in hole in the wall shops and picking up a few gourmet products to spoil ourselves with.
We had pulled pork burgers for lunch, I enjoyed mine but was entirely gratified to be informed that I could make better haha!

Obbie, they are close together. Bit like having twins.
CC, I'll bet you needed a rest.
Even though it snowed yesterday, we still managed to do a bit of cleaning up in the garden. Hope to finish the front area today.

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.
DS, DIL & GS took DH & myself out for brunch as an early Birthday present.  I had the most scrumptious Corn Fritters on a bed of Avocado, with poached egg, tomato jam and Watercress tendrils.
I went nuts and also had(shared with DH) Coconut Sago Pudding with Raspberries and mango.
Huge serving and oh so delicious!  Cappuccino's to finish off.
It was at Ascot Vale Food Store, just round the corner from main shopping drag in Moonee Ponds, so we pottered around there afterwards.

It sounds as though there may be a birthday sneaking up there somewhere Katj. The Sago Pudding sounds delicious.

Thanks Kimmyh I will try IGA for my rapadura. The walk around Fremantle sounds great Kristy; we don't do things like that much these days as DH cant walk far without pain.

Troupie, before I got it at Supermarkets, I got it from Health food stores, don't know how the price compares.
