The Nasturtiums are very pretty Chookie.I've tried growing them here but gave up as the caterpillars thought they had a free lunch. :-))

Typical chooks. I hope they laid you some extra special eggs.

Astraea, naughty chooks. Another 15 weeks or more before eggs.

CC, first time I have been able to grow them. I put snail bait around base of pot.

Spent Melbourne Cup day with DH & Mum at their care facility.  Lifestyle staff put on a great day, topped off by wins for us all in different sweeps.

I picked 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Nearly picked the winner. But my combinations didn't win, and I didn't actually watch the race.

DH was in a sweep at work and he drew the winner. Only paid $75, but great for us considering we know zero about horses.

Sounds like us. Well done to your DH. DD won 3rd prize in one of her work sweeps. I'm thrilled that a lady jockey won.

Just reading this and realised that it was Melbourne Cup day and I completely forgot; that's what retirement does.

Watched the cup with visitors .  So delighted with the win.
Had visitors for lunch, they loved the Macadamia and cheese biscuits so much that they are going to make some for a cocktail party they are having in a couple of weeks.

We also had win's in the sweep at friends.  Makes a change as usually don't win anything!
Your biscuits sound lovely Chookie.  Glad everyone liked them.
Quite day today till we pick up grandchildren from school.  Rain seems to have cleared so might get some time in the garden.
